🚗⚠️ Don’t Ignore an Engine Misfire!

🔧 Timing Belts & Interference Engines: Don’t Wait for the Break! 🚗

Did you know that some engines are designed as interference engines? That means the pistons and valves operate in very close proximity. The timing belt keeps everything synchronized so they don’t collide.

When a timing belt breaks or jumps time, the results can be costly — bent valves and internal engine damage may occur.

⚠️ The important part: Timing belts are a maintenance item. They don’t always give you a warning before they fail.

🛠️ What you can do:

Check your owner’s manual for the recommended replacement interval.

Replace arelated components, such as the tensioner, idlers, and water pump, when recommended.

Don’t ignore unusual noises, oil leaks, or other signs of a timing system problem.

A little preventative maintenance can help avoid an unexpected breakdown and potentially expensive engine repairs.
