The kids had a chance to practice their skills on a very wet track this morning at Club Motorsports. By lunch the track was dry, the sun was out and it couldn’t have been nicer weather to go fast. Tyler drove a full on Cadet package today for the first time, Natalie as well. They were cooking. Ryan alternated between his two karts, turned about a million laps and could barely hold his head up anymore. So glad the Klepper’s could join us so we weren’t all alone.

The boys had a great day at the first NHKA race for 2026. Tyler had a full group of kid karts to race with. Some of those boys will be ready for cadet class in no time. Lots of speed for the little guys. He drove it to the limit every time he got behind the wheel.

Ryan had his first race in a junior kart. He had some real quick practice times, and qualifying got him to 7th for the start, out of a field of 23 drivers. He lost a few spots at the beginning but drove a really strong race and climbed back up to a 6th place finish. He drove clean all weekend, made smart passes, and never made a mistake. He really proved to himself that he’s ready to compete with the older group. Congrats to his buddy Jackson on the win.

It was a beautiful day, the racing went smoothly all day and was well run by the new crew. So fun to see our racing friends again, and just as fun to welcome a bunch of new families to it all.

Ryan and Tyler had their practice with NHKA a couple weeks ago. Ryan’s first day in a full size kart. Another day on the track today getting used to the new ride. A dry morning went great, after lunch he got to try it in the rain for a while. Lots of familiar faces at Club Motorsports, some new ones too. Race number 1 coming up next week.

Cup Karts Spring Nationals went great today. We started dead last after a Saturday to forget, so Ryan was looking forward to what he could do. Rain was in the air, but everyone (but 1) rolled out on slicks. Ryan’s kart was working good and he was able to make up 9 positions overall. His first time earning ‘Hard Charger’ at a national race.

Great to race with such talented drivers. The nationals always bring out the best around. We wish JACKontrack.racing could’ve been out there with us for the final.

Thanks to all our friends and supporters that helped us get through the weekend, both on and off the track.

Saturday was a beautiful day for qualifying and some heat races. Qual didn’t go so well, started near the back. Unfortunately, when you’re near the back you tend to run into trouble. After a red flag to start heat 1, they got going again and Ryan was collected in an incident on lap 1 that also caught our teammate JACKontrack.racing. Dnf to start the afternoon for the boys. Ryan started almost last for heat 2, but wasn’t able to improve. Turns out the kart was pretty tweaked, but we got it straight again. Starting in the back tomorrow, nowhere to go but up. That’s racing.

Cup Karts North America practice day done and dusted. Threw a chain in the first session, worked hard and got faster all day after that. Tough field, positions separated by hundredths. Great to work together with JACKontrack.racing to get these kids moving forward. Hot, rubbered in track, perfect for pushing our Snap Ya Neck motor through the turns. Qual day and heat races tomorrow. Extra thanks to Spa Speed for helpful advice, and Carpy's for the good looking kart.
