After 27 years as a driving instructor and owner of three driving schools in Sharon, Newton, and Yarmouth, I've seen the same mistake over and over again.
Many adults believe they don't need driving lessons. They think they can simply schedule a road test, maybe take one lesson beforehand, and pass on the first try. The reality is often very different. Some arrive for their road test without even knowing how to properly put the car into gear or safely operate the vehicle.
Professional driving lessons are not a waste of time or money—they are an investment in your safety and the safety of everyone else on the road.
A car is not a toy. It is a powerful machine that can cause serious injury or even take a life if it is not operated safely and responsibly.
My goal has never been to simply help students pass the road test. My responsibility is to teach them the skills, judgment, and confidence they need to become safe, responsible drivers for life. Passing the test is important, but driving safely every day is what truly matters.
Whether you're 16 or 60, learning from a qualified driving instructor can make all the difference. The habits you develop today will stay with you for years to come. Invest in proper training—it could save your life or someone else's.
