I wasnt going to post this here, but i havnt heard anything back from them so here we go! Well this is a first for us, hopefully the last, but it probably won't be. It's Sunday, we got an emergency call from a couple traveling with three kids. They drive a 2014 Kia optima, they are 15 miles away stuck because the tensioner pully bearing was in pieces and the belt was completely shredded. We quoted $30 to come out and see what happened and diagnosis the issue. (No one knew it was the pully that caused the belt to slip off until we got the belt pieces out) Then quoted $80 total $30+ one hour ($50) to replace the belt. They agreed. Then we found the broken pully. We quoted $120 to change the pully and belt and the diagnosis all together The closest and most affordable pully was 30 mins away, 28 miles one way. We offered to go get the new pully and change the belt and pully for $200 total. The pully was $72. That was included in the $200. They Then asked if we could do $175, then $190, then said they only had $192 and $40 to get home. We understood and agreed to $192 and left to go get the new pully. 10 minutes before we get to the store they call and say they have someone else to do it cheaper. I said okay thats fine but you owe $30 for the work we did and for coming out. Now they are refusing to pay anything. We pulled the belt pieces out and removed the broken pully, wasted all the fuel, mileage, and time. We took our day off to try and help someone who was so worried about us being honest yet we told them multiple times we wouldn't accept a penny until we finished the job. Ironic isn't it? Karma is real guys. I didnt get either of there names but I have their number and what they drive and they are 100% banned from our services. Please don't be like these guys. We understand being low on cash and emergencies can be hard, if you talk to us and tell us the truth and not low ball us like this isn't business. Would you go to Walmart and offer 75% of what the price is? No.
