: We need your help to find Atreus Johann Bird, who is missing from Greene County.

The 2-year-old is 3', 30 lbs., with blonde hair and blue eyes, last seen in the area of Hilldale Road in Midway wearing Olaf pajama pants and no shirt or shoes.

Atreus Bird has a known medical condition that may impair his ability to return safely without assistance.

As a reminder, the Labor Day holiday is quickly approaching and the Tow to Go program will be available during Friday, September 4, 2026, 6:00 pm (Eastern, Central and Mountain) through Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 6:00 am (Eastern, Central and Mountain).
As previously announced, AAA offers a program called Tow to Go that helps safely remove impaired drivers from the roads during designated holidays and events. The Tow to Go program, administered by The ACG Traffic Safety Foundation, discourages impaired drivers from getting behind the wheel and risking the lives and safety of other motorists by providing them with a confidential, local ride to a safe location within a 10-mile radius if needed. It is designed to be used as a last resort and provided free of charge to both AAA members and non-members alike. More than 25,000 impaired drivers have been safely removed from the roads since the inception of this program.

‼️: Life-threatening flash flooding is ongoing in Henderson County in Western NC, including Chimney Rock area and areas further west!

At 935 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Impacted streams include Hickory Creek, Cox Creek, and Puncheon Camp Creek. Significant flash flooding is being reported in the Edneyville area, where a portion of Bearwallow Rd has been washed out, and at least one home has been flooded. Avoid this area if possible.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Hendersonville, Mills River, Fletcher, Mountain Home, Bat Cave, Chimney Rock State Park, Edneyville, Gerton and Horse Shoe.
