Really enjoyed anchoring in Emerald Bay...it has mooring balls as well, but we were just there for the day. When are you joining us?!?

Okay, from our found PFD yesterday...we called it into the coast guard using the VHF. We hailed them on 16 and asked them to meet us on 22A. We told them what we found, the location, condition, the vessel name on the PFD, and answered several other questions. They even had us text them photos. About 10 minutes later, we hear the information broadcast on channel 16, and again for the next several hours.

Point is, you don't know what other emergencies the coast guard is managing. You don't know what else has been called in. Know how to use your VHF, and use it!
