Protect yourself with Tinted windows.

So I had a customer who wanted to save money on her residential window tint project…
She told me:

👉 “I already removed the old window film, so you don’t need to charge me for removal.”

I arrive at the house… and guess what? 😅

The film was gone…
BUT the glass was covered in dry glue, patches, and adhesive everywhere.

Basically the worst-case scenario for installation.

Now she thinks she did her part because:
👉 “The film is not on the glass anymore.”

But we all know…
Removing film is the EASY part.
The REAL work is removing the glue.

If we install over that, the result will be:
❌ Bubbles
❌ Contamination
❌ Customer unhappy later
❌ My reputation at risk

So here is the question for all professionals here:

💬 Would you still charge for full removal (glue included)?
OR
💬 Would you discount because she removed the film?

And how do you explain this to customers without sounding like you’re trying to upsell?
