Powering a more sustainable future. ☀️

The solar panels at Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation generate enough clean energy each year to power approximately 200 homes, helping reduce our environmental impact while supporting more sustainable operations.

Since April, our newest solar panel installation has generated more than 125,000 kWh of electricity—enough energy to power about 12 average U.S. homes for an entire year. Even more importantly, the addition of these panels has reduced our carbon emissions by approximately 570 tons annually, helping create a cleaner future for our community.

Projects like these are just one example of how YMMC is investing in renewable energy and environmental stewardship for generations to come.

Making a difference starts with investing in our community.
Each quarter, Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation provides grant funding to local nonprofit organizations that are creating meaningful impact across our region. One recent recipient, I-58 Mission, serves individuals and families throughout Coweta County and surrounding communities by providing basic needs assistance, including food, clothing, housing support, and other essential resources for those facing hardship.
Organizations like I-58 Mission help strengthen our community by offering hope, support, and practical assistance when it is needed most. We are proud to support their mission and the important work they do every day.
Are you involved with a nonprofit making a difference in our community? Applications for Yamaha’s Community Impact Grant Program are accepted quarterly.

Before Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation assembled the wide range of products we build today, it all started with one vehicle: the Yamaha Golf Car.

YMMC was established in 1986, and in June 1988, the first Yamaha Golf Cars rolled off the production line in Newnan, Georgia. That milestone laid the foundation for decades of growth, with WaveRunners added in 1989, ATVs in 1998, and Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles in 2002.

Today, we're looking back at one of the golf cars that helped start it all—a reminder of how far we've come while continuing to deliver the quality, innovation, and reliability Yamaha is known for.
