This is what happens when the clutch stops engaging on an A/C compressor! The bearing on the compressor wore out and caused this terrible squeaking sound!

This customer came in with the ABS and traction control light on their dashboard. After diagnosing the issue, our tech found that the magnetic ring on the back of the wheel hub bearing had broken. The vehicle's wheel speed sensor reads this ring and sends the signal to your speedometer, which tells you how fast your vehicle is moving. While this broken magnetic ring didn’t cause any false speed readings, it did cause the two lights to turn on. Below you can see where the ring had broken, compared to a brand new wheel hub bearing, with the ring still intact!

One of our techs went to check the filters on a customers vehicle, and when they went to check on the cabin air filter, they noticed that a bunch of napkins had gotten sucked into the inlet at the front of the filter! These were just napkins the customer was storing in their glove box. This was causing a restriction of airflow, which led to very weak performance from the HVAC system in the vehicle. (It didn’t help that the cabin air filter itself was quite dirty when the tech had pulled it out). It can be the smallest things that lead to larger issues in a vehicle, and you won’t know the cause until a mechanic takes a look!

It's that time of year again! The weather is getting warmer, and everyone is turning up their A/Cs. A lot of customers have been calling with concerns about their vehicles shaking while driving. This is a common concern during snowy conditions. The snow is freezing behind and around your vehicles wheels, causing them to feel off balance due to the added weight from the ice. The best way to fix this is to make sure all of the ice is cleaned off of your wheels before driving, and the easiest way to fix it is by going through a car wash!

Just to let everyone know we will be CLOSED Monday, 1/26 due to the snow. Thank you all for understanding!

Don’t forget to change your air filters people!! This filter was from 2017, the same year the car was manufactured! The engine air filter needs to be replaced regularly as to not restrict airflow to the engine. This is very important for the regular maintenance and longevity of your vehicle!

This is a good picture showing how thick brake pads start out at, and as they wear down, how thin they can get! When your brake pads get down to about 3mm, that’s when you should think about getting them replaced! This is not only for your safety, but for vehicle longevity! If you feel like it’s time to get your brake pads replaced, give our Newark shop a call at (302) 369-3033, or call our Townsend shop at (302) 378-7933
