I visit with this wonderful tree often, to admire her in all seasons and weathers and lights. In spring and summer those stretching branches are almost as full of birds as they are of leaves, in autumn you'll find squirrels feasting on her sweet chestnut abundance, but to my mind she shows off her true beauty in winter, when you can see every knot and whorl of her trunk, every line and bruise and story of her long life written in bark. I hope you enjoy appreciating her alongside me.

“Life meanders like a path through the woods. We have seasons when we flourish and seasons when the leaves fall from us, revealing our bare bones. Given time, they grow again.”
