Lancia Gamma Returns.. As a SUV 🇮🇹

[5-26-26/// Images by: Lancia ] Stellantis is not getting rid of Lancia, instead, focusing it on the Italian and EU markets. The second new model is the return of the Gamma nameplate, though now as a STLA Medium platform based crossover. It builds on the Ypsilon’s design with Y shaped LED lights, bold wheels, and a sleek body shape. It is a bit reminiscent of its platform mates though, the Peugeot 408 and DS No7 & No8.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🏁 Spec Sheet: Under the hood will be A Hybrid option making 143HP and around 621 miles of total range from a 1.2L 3-cylinder turbo.

Then comes 3 EV options. The first is a 227HP and 335 mile range, then a 242HP and 460 mile, and finally the dual motor AWD making 370HP and 419 miles all on the WLTP cycle. 🏁

[5–26-26 /// Images by: Lotus ] Lotus is kicking back into gear with a renewed focus on combustion hybrid engines. Kicking this off is a hot new Emira 420 Sport as we wait for the 2028 V8 Supercar. What is it? Based not eh AMG Turbo-4 Emira, Lotus dialed up everything with new aero, window louvers, larger intakes, and even a removable roof panel.

🏁 Spec Sheet: Out back in the Emira 420 Sport is a AMG sourced 2.0L Turbo Four Cylinder that, in the Turbo SE trim, is making 400HP and 354 lb-ft of torque. In this version, power was bumped to 414HP, 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, and a 186MPH TopSpeed.

The engine is strong too, featuring forged aluminum pistons and a forged steel crankshaft. The Turbo also uses a twin-scroll design. It also features a 7,200 RPM redline along with a Launch control mode.
This engine can only be had with the DCT gearbox.🏁

BREAKING: Ferrari Luce EV 🇮🇹

no other Ferrari with 4 coach doors, a smooth body, circular taillights, a massive s-duct hood and interesting proportions. The design is focused on a “glass house” approach with upright windshield wipers, massive 23 and 24 inch wheels and large side vents. It looks more Italian UFO concept from the 80s than anything today. And it starts at around $640k. It’s also 197.6in long and 78.7in wide while being 2in lower than Purosangue. It’s slipper shape allows for a 0.254 drag coefficient. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🏁 Spec Sheet: This unique powertrain and ground up Ferrari platform uses 4 electric motors. The front dual motor axle is directly from the F80 Hypercar and makes 282HP combined, with each spinning up to 30,000RPM. The rear motors makes 831HP. Each r makes around 416HP and can go up to 25,000RPM.

Combined in a boost mode, you get 1,050HP. 0-60MPH happens under 2.5 seconds with a 193MPH TopSpeed. This comes from a high energy density Ferrari made 800v 122kWh battery pack, 350kW DC Fast Charging, and around 329 miles of range. 🏁

At least the 5 passenger interior is sleek. Off first glance, the 12.86inch instrument panel is stunning - beautiful crafted gauges, an anodized aluminum steeringwheel and frame all with with physical controls… Those gauges are made with Samsung, using OLED panels. But the needle is physical made from aluminum and backlit. There’s also a 10.12in center screen that can pivot left and right, a glass shifter from Corning with 13,000 laser etches. The paddle shifters are used for Torque Shift Engagement with 5 levels. It also makes a sound by taking the eMotor frequencies and vibrations and projecting them.

Dubbed the Great Eight Series, this is a remastered Rolls with the iconic 6.75L V8 under the hood. Just 60 will ever be made. Under the skin is a new adaptive suspension, an all new braking system, and even drive modes. [5-22-26 ] Stellantis, under new management, has revealed their massive Fastlane 2030 strategy and one new product will be the Dodge Copperhead. While no V10 powered Viper is coming unfortunately, this quasi replacement will serve as a mid-sized halo car likely Charger platform based with an SRT spec already is planned. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🏁 Spec Sheet: If it is indeed Charger based, we can expect the Hurricane Inline-6 and HEMI V8 power though reports suggest it may ONLY have a full V8 lineup from 5.7, 6.4 and 6.2 SC, and ditch the Inline-6 entirely. Heck, there may even be a hybrid V8 offered with wild power. 🏁

Dodge dropped the Copperhead name originally in 1997 as a bold two seater concept that was meant to be a more accessible Viper.

CONFIRMED: USA Gets Audi Matrix Lights for 2027 🇩🇪

[5-22-26 ] Audi just recently revealed the first images of the upcoming Q9 flagship SUV, but this news is more exciting. Countries outside the USA have had Matrix LED lights for over a decade. But for 2027, Audi is finally bringing them stateside on the Q9 flagship SUV. This is thanks to a recent revision of USA road laws to allow the advanced lights. Currently only the 2025 & newer Rivian R1T and R1S and some Tesla models have Matrix LED lights activated in the USA.

If you didn’t know. The USA previously only allowed separate High and Low beam settings for headlights, though we did have Auto High beam assist.

Matrix LED lights work differently as they can disable small portions the high beam on either side of the vehicle to prevent blinding oncoming vehicles in traffic, thus making driving at night much safer for everyone, especially reducing LED light glare. This is thanks to advanced camera systems monitoring the road.

On the Q9, the new Digital Matrix LED lights use an element only 13mm wide while housing 25,600 individual LEDs in each side of the vehicle, all of which can be individually turned on and off.

[5-15-26 /// Image by: Kimera ] The insane Kimera K39 is unlike any other modern creation as it has a Koenigsegg heart now. The brand pulled the covers off the road legal and racing versions, building upon the EVO37 and 38’s success. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀


Spec Sheet: Now for the goods. Out back is no longer a twin charged 4 cylinder.. now we have a custom Twin Turbo V8 from non other than Koenigsegg. The engine produces an insane 1,000HP and 885 lb-ft of torque with a 8,250RPM redline. Target weight? 2,400lbs. This bespoke engine also is emissions complaint, can be software updated if needed, and only happened because Christian Von Koenigsegg believed this project was worthy of said partnership.

Styling wise, it stays true to Kimera’s past EVO projects and the original Lancia 037, though a tad more extreme. The road legal verse gains enhanced aerodynamics and new lights. There also is a wider rear track, larger cooling ducts… and then comes the insane Pikes Peak racer. The aero on this machine is wild, as is the Martini Racing livery. All K39 gain an S-duct, large rear extracting surfaces, vented fenders and more. The ultimate restomod creation is here folks as a proper hypercar.

We spent 1-Week living with the new 4 and found it to have a premium and stylish interior, sharp looking exterior and polarizing flush rear truck. So, how was it?

The Polestar 4 impressed us with its refined suspension, composed handling, and premium materials. The lack of a rear window wasn’t an issue for me, who is used to digital rear view mirrors. But it takes a learning curve to adjust. (A P4 Wagon with rear window is coming soon). We hope Polestar can provide an OTA update with turn signal cameras, that would help. As a software first car, it’s gorgeously designed, but needs some work. We found some menus and screens to be hard to access, and the contextual steering wheel controls some time to adjust to. Overall, the Polestar 4 is dynamic, quiet, spacious, and features huge rear seats. Update it with a 800v platform, a bit better range, and we are in.

[5-21-26 ] There’s a lot of fake news about this announcement so let’s straighten things up. Stellantis and Jaguar Land Rover have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to potentially develop products and technologies. What does this mean? The two companies are NOT merging, are NOT taking stakes in eachother… instead, they are looking how they can collaborate together on a project. Heck, this could fail and the deal drops. Why?

JLR wants to invest more in their top USA market, specifically more specific products and potentially production locally as they explored a many years ago. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

But why Stellantis? The company has quite a lot of plants globally, many not used to capacity and are already offloading some in Europe with Chinese partners. In the USA… this could be JLR. The luxury marque wants to avoid tariffs, and if a future Body on Frame or Pickup truck come, being built in the EU or UK would mean the 25% chicken tax, something the Ineos Quartermaster suffers from. A USA plant, in partner with Stellantis, would fix this.

[5-21-26 ] Stellantis, under new management, has revealed their massive Fastlane 2030 strategy with 110 vehicles planned in just 4 years. 11 new products are coming to North America alone. In total, there will be a blend of gas, EV, EREV, PHEV, and hybrid. 70% of the investment will go to Jeep, Ram, Peugeot, and Fiat. Chrysler, Dodge, Citroen, Open, and Alfa Romeo will be the strong regional brands while DS, Lancia are historical brands. Chrysler will launch the Airflow finally with a new design along with the Arrow and Arrow Cross under $35k. Ram will launch a new Dakota & SRT, a new 3-row SUV & SRT, the 1500 EREV, and more. Dodge is launching a new Durango & SRT by 2030, a new mid-size muscle car & SRT, a new GLH SUV too. Jeep is aiming to revive the SRT Grand Cherokee and introduce an SRT Grand Wagoneer and Wrangler, expand the trailhawk lineup. Even Alfa is getting a new SUV and Special project, with Maserati adding 2 new EVs.

Not to mention the all new STLA One platform along with 2 others meant to be affordable. Stellantis also is in early talks with JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) to collaborate on a special project for North America… likely for the UK marque to use a USA factory and develop a luxury BOF product.
