As our society’s appetite for energy continues to grow, we must come to terms with the tremendous impact that putting more carbon dioxide into our atmosphere has on our future. It seems like we have to choose between our planet and more energy. But with ingenuity, we do not have to face such a stark choice. We can have both! One solution is biodiesel. Biodiesel is a fuel that can power any diesel

engine (trucks, buses, and heavy equipment) without requiring the engine to be modified. It is made from vegetable oil and even from used cooking oil. Biodiesel is carbon-neutral which means that it does not add any more carbon dioxide to the atmosphere than was already there. We will also keep all that messy grease from our sewers and drains. Each year, cities and towns across the U.S. spend millions of dollars to fix the damage grease clogs cause. So in one fell swoop, we reduce environmental damage caused by grease and create a fuel that is far better for our environment and future than petroleum. On Saturday we brought our family and some friends to visit our plant in Holyoke...it was a great day for a road trip! They were impressed with what they saw and it was so good to see it all come to life. After a brief explanation and tour,we broke bread together. In the coming weeks, look out for an Invite to our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
