After looking into it, found an uncommon issue - a vacuum leak at the rear main seal was causing a loud whistling noise between the engine and transmission. This can lead to the rear main seal to leak engine oil and cause further complications.

70k service⭐️

Transmission fluid for a Mercedes S550 normally has a blue tint. Everyday wear and tear causes the fluid to degrade and turn brown as shown below. A fluid and filter change was much needed.

Removed transmission pan, replaced filter, reinstalled pan with new gasket, and put fresh fluid. Ready to go👍🏼

The newest addition to the garage🤩 - Autel Scan Tool. This tool will allow me to be much faster and far more efficient when diagnosing and repairing. One of yesterday’s appointments - I tested system pressures and found the compressor wasn’t cycling due to the failure of the compressor clutch and a burnt wire harness. I soldered a new connector and replaced the AC compressor💨
It’s important to make sure our AC systems are functioning optimally, especially in south Florida🥵.

Finished up a job on an awesome neighbor’s Mercedes truck!! Brake job, multi-point inspection, replaced the water pump, and bled out the coolant system.
