I've heard it time and time again.
"Just do it the right way"
"Weld or drill the bolts out"
"The hard way is the only way."

I've been a shop owner for over 35 years. I definitely have done all of the above. More times than I can count.

But here's the thing.. why? One way isn't the only way to efficiently repair a problem. Infact, sometimes we do things just because "that's how it's always been done", and honestly, if it isn't efficient, what's the sense in that?

As a business owner, my customers were coming to me with recurring broken exhaust manifold bolts. It was chronic. GM, Ford, Dodge.. but those reoccurrances add up.

Time and labor costs were adding up. It was taking up more time in my schedule and more time customers were without a vehicle. It was adding up financially too. Depending on the location and condition of the bolt, it's not always just a quick fix.

I decided to do something different to help my customers and other vehicle owners too. Which is where the Exhaust Manifold Bolt Repair Kits started.

These kits are American Made and built to last. The vehicle you're seeing in the video is a 2003 Chev 1500HD with a 6.0L. Those 3 brackets have been on for over 13 years with over 200k miles put on them... and counting.

These brackets are designed to withstand what the factory bolts can't.
•heat cycles
•environmental elements
•corrosion
•expansion and contraction

They bolt down tightly to exisiting accessory holes in the manifold and use a pinch bolt to securely press the manifold back down into place.
•Simple
•Fast
•Affordable
•Long term

After 20 years of producing these original products, we've been able to help thousands of vehicle owners, mechanics, and fleets across North America.

Here’s what makes my strategy different 👇🏻

1. I don’t weld broken bolts anymore — I created something better.
After decades in the shop, I got tired of the time, cost, and frustration welding or drilling caused. So I engineered a precision-fit bracket that permanently seals the leak without tearing apart half the engine.

2. I don’t force customers into “traditional” repairs.
Just because something has always been done one way doesn’t mean it’s always the best way. I believe people deserve a faster, more affordable and practical option that actually works, if they want it.

3. I don’t believe permanent fixes have to cost thousands.
Our American made heavy-duty steel brackets save hours of labor and thousands in repair costs — while still delivering a true long-term solution.

4. I don’t design products from theory — I design them from real problems.
These brackets were born in my own shop. Some have been installed for 15+ years and over 200,000 miles on some vehicles— still holding strong. They are designed to use factory threaded holes to mount a bracket that uses pressure between the head and manifold to seal leaks. No more repeat breaks.

5. I don’t think you should need a full shop to fix your vehicle.
I believe repairs should be accessible, efficient, and built for the real world — not just ideal shop conditions. These products are user friendly for any vehicle owner.

If years of experience have taught me anything, it’s that there is more than one way to make a repair because things just aren'tmade like they used to be. We began this business to help vehicle owners and mechanics find a repair that is durable, reliable and built to last.

It might not be the traditional way, but it has helped thousands of people across North America and beyond.

Over the last 3 decades, we’ve seen the same issues come up again and again. Even a good engine can have a few weak points that show up over time.

Here’s the quick breakdown:

1️⃣ Oil Pump Failure (especially pickup tube O-ring)

2️⃣ AFM/DOD Lifter Failure (Active Fuel Management engines)

3️⃣ Exhaust Manifold Bolt Breakage

4️⃣ Water Pump Failure

5️⃣ Knock Sensor Failure (due to water intrusion)

Ok, now some of these require a full replacement, but we can help save you some time, money and headaches with #3

Exhaust Manifold Bolts…

This is one of the MOST common LS problems. Heat cycles, rust, and time snap those bolts, leading to that classic ticking exhaust leak. They’re just not made for it.

And this is where most people get stuck.

Because the “traditional” fix means:
Heating, Drilling, Extracting, Sometimes even pulling the head.

It can get expensive and time consuming fast.

So we tried a different approach. Instead of fighting the broken bolt, we use what’s already there.

GM designed these heads with factory threaded accessory holes. We use those mounting points to install a heavily built, precision bracket, then apply a pinch bolt that pulls the manifold back down tight over the leak.

No drilling.
No welding.
No removing broken bolts.

Just a secure seal back against the gasket.

This makes it even more convenient…

GM uses a stainless steel gasket that’s incredibly durable. In most cases, it’s still in great shape and reseals perfectly once proper pressure is reapplied. If it’s damaged, then yes, it should be replaced to avoid a gasket leak.

This repair has helped thousands of truck owners and fleets across North America (and beyond) fix a problem that used to cost serious time and money.

Simple solution. Proven results. Built to Last.
Made 100% in the USA.

Replacing exhaust manifold bolts has been known to be a a strenuous job. Both time consuming and expensive 🕑💲

With the Exhaust Manifold Bolt Repair Kits, the process becomes shorter, cheaper and more permanent than replacing the bolt.

Simply LOCATE your broken bolts, MOUNT the bracket into place with the cylinder head, and SECURE the manifold and cylinder heads back together.

Instead of repeatedly fixing a recurring problem, use the KAP Exhaust Manifold Bolt Repair Kits to fix it right the first time👍

Read this before you spend another dollar chasing an exhaust manifold bolt leak⬇️

As a shop owner for over 35 years, if there’s one job I’ve seen over and over again, it’s broken exhaust manifold bolts.

We used to do it the same way everyone else does… drilling, welding, extracting. And then hope it doesn’t snap again eventually.

But here’s the truth…
That route can get expensive fast. And more often than not, you’re right back in the same spot down the road replacing one broken bolt with another.

After years of doing it that way, we finally said enough is enough.

So we built a better solution.

Instead of going back into a flawed system, we designed a heavy-duty bracket, 100% made in the USA, that clamps the manifold tight where it leaks. No drilling, no extracting, no fighting broken bolts.

We use the factory accessory holes already in the cylinder head, mount the bracket, and apply direct pressure with a pinch bolt right where the leak occurs.

We’ve been using this repair in our shop since the early 2000s, and it’s helped thousands of truck owners, fleet vehicles, vans, buses, and motorhomes get back on the road without the headache.

This is just one of our kit applications, for more bolt locations and motor options..
