This quad came to me with a charging issue. They changed the stator but was unsure after that. It sat for quite awhile also. I diagnosed the regulator/rectifier as the non charging culprit and it would not want to run so thought maybe it was related since it wasn't getting enough voltage. I also checked the valves, exhaust was in spec but one intake was .002 and the other was .004 with a .006 spec. So on this polaris you have to get a whole new cam follower which has the shim attached (stupid but whatever), get those put them in along with new regulator and still won't run. Got plenty of spark and the fuel pump runs as it should. Pulled fuel injector and cleaned it, I'm like what the heck. Rigged a fuel pressure gauge up and who would guess the pressure was less than half spec. Took apart, cleaned pump and she's finally running. Diagnosing the problem is always the key!
