It’s the rainy time of the week. Here’s something you can do

When you get a chip do this.
1- if bug guts or dirty around or on chip scrape off with razor blade or use alcohol and go around chip try not to get any on chip.
2- cut small piece if clear scotch tape just enough to cover chip and lay over it.
3- then cut a small square of clear wide packing tape just big enough to overlap the scotch tape. Roll on try to keep air pockets out and make sure this tape is sealed all around to the glass with no wrinkles.
Putting the scotch tape over the chip keeps the adhesive of the clear packing from cover the chip
Covering with tape does not stop the chip from spreading only to keep water and trash out.
If it has been in the rain let it dry out in the sun all day then put tape over. Doing this will allow the tech to take the tape off to be repaired the day of appointment if it’s raining or been raining.

Little slice chip that would of cost this customer several hundred dollars to replace.
