Ted's gen2 117ci fxlrs received the cam package. He decided to try out the new cycle-rama 574HL cam, made some good power 128hp and 129tq. Has a Fuel Moto Riot pipe on it, and a Powevision tune, it makes good power but I would like to see the torque/power come on a little earlier is all. Potential increase maybe possible with different exhaust. It would help with the way the cam hits on powerband. The 128hp will be the true range for most average bikes running this cam. Buying these cams with unlisted specifications is a challenge, marketed at top tier performance/dyno run and not a average build as most have, just a heads up I tune the bike properly not your dyno sheet. A good tune is all you need. Thank you Teddy Andrew

Mark's 2024 117 Ci Road Glide is a strong runner, Installed a RS534 cam and a Power Vision tune. The torque hits real early on and pulls hard. The dyno curves are real nice. Smooth and fast acceleration with a strong chop to it. A completely different and fun bike to ride. Thank you Mark Mcclure

What's the secret with these M8 cams? Engine builders dont assemble off description we degree cams. Sad part is these cams are stacking up with slight differences and big promises not met. I think cam sales would be higher if you knew what you where buying (specs listed) to accommodate your build vs the cam telling you how it wants to only play. These are bolt in cams or street cams sold, I understand racing is confidential private specs. I wont be the whistle blower on specs just tired of over marketed cams that are under performing. Then there are the happy dyno numbers also out there. Heard it all parasitic drag, carbon wheels, oxygenated fuels, etc... A good tuner will nail it right for you and you will be happy with the bike even if its a couple horsepower less than marketed. Know your cam limits and find a great tuner and engine builder.

Great transmission set up from the guys at Vance&Hines. Transmission is backcut gears, annealed(heat treated), and micro finish polished (REM ISF). Transmission is like a mirror, look at the polished shaft how polished transmission parts are. Polishing will improve shifting and parasitic drag. A must for big power M8 Big Bore kits. Help save the 3 gear failure destroying the transmission and missed shifts. This one will be behind a 136 Ci. If you need a transmission done call the shop to schedule. Thank you Rodney at V&H.

Broken bolt day, everyone been there there a nightmare usually. Just my luck I removed both on center, drill and reverse bit also worked by hand. Difficult as bolt holes bottom on pipe. Drilled most of bolt away down to nothing left. Couldn't be any better from a bad situation.

Finished Ted's bike with a really great tune, was able to lay down some perfect power/torque curves, the tuning came out on point with this set up after working out all the issues of newer gen 2 software glitches I encountered with Powervision. 126Hp and 131Tq out of a 117Ci Gen 2 with a Red Shift cam, and a Jackpot RTX 2-1 exhaust pipe. Great performance package with a choppy cam for those that want the chop. The rideability is just awesome from what Ted replied. There are no flat spots or lag or hard power band hit, just a smooth powerband from the bottom rpm range to top rpm. Thank you Ted

2024 Road Glide Gen2 117ci has that chop going on after a nice bolt in cam install.
