Job Summary

Clerks are responsible for ensuring that customers have a positive experience. Clerks may be tasked with handling cash, credit, or debit card transactions including things like snacks, deli items, drinks, to***co products, lottery tickets, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a well-organized and orderly storefront that aligns with the company’s image.
• Providing customers with fuel, sundries, and deli service options.
• Cleaning the store interior and exterior to include the restrooms, walk-in, trash, cleaning all glass, sweeping and mopping of the general customer area, trash at the pumps, sweeping the entry, cleaning the glass.
• Operate the fueling Point-of-Sale (POS) and regular POS system, accepting cash, credit, debit, and EBT forms of payment, ensure that the correct amount of money is given to customers.
• Restocking with stock rotation shelves with material received from vendors with snacks, drinks, and other items that customers may want to purchase while waiting to refuel their vehicles.
• Explain the various type of fuel available.
• Maintain POS systems, vendor, fuel, and other transactions involving the daily operation of the business.
• Plan, prepare, execute, and operate operations to increase sales, reduce waste, for the betterment of the company while continue to upsell items.
• Always ready for inspections from secret shoppers, executive staff, county, state, and federal officials.

The person and/or individual prepares hot and cold deli food, catering, and delivery orders. Promotes customer service by taking and filling customer order requests and maintaining attractive product presentation.

• Prepares hot and cold deli foods such as but not limited to breakfast foods, hot foods, steam table foods, rotisserie chicken, pizza, fried chicken, deli sandwiches, and hoagies.
• Fills catering orders when requested, ensuring portion control.
• Ensure food handling and food safety procedures are adhered to; rotate stock, and monitor product temperatures before and after cooking.
