Returning for his third Harlan 500, the driver of the TJK Mechanic Services No. 10 is one of the event's most familiar faces. He's the kind of competitor who quietly unloads, tightens a few bolts, and lets everyone else do the talking—until the green flag drops.
Ask around the pits and you'll probably get ten different opinions on what DJ is thinking. He won't tell you who's on his hit list, who he thinks is overrated, or who he's hoping to race. Chances are he'd rather settle those conversations with his front bumper than a Facebook comment.
One thing is certain: if something breaks, DJ can probably fix it. If something gets bent... well... he can probably fix that too. Whether it's the race car or someone else's feelings depends on how race night unfolds.
Don't let the quiet approach fool you. Three appearances have taught DJ exactly what it takes to reach the front, and the veterans know the No. 10 is capable of spoiling someone's night when the opportunity presents itself.
