Safety tech tip: this tip is mainly directed to the parents of youth racers, but applies to all racers. DO NOT WEAR NYLON OR SYNTHETIC BLEND MATERIALS UNDER NEATH YOUR RACE SUIT. Even with a multilayer firesuit, there isn't much time before injury starts. All racers should be wearing nomex underwear with their suit, especially youth racers.
