When choosing the right car battery, some things to keep in mind are the size, design, and model that fits your climate and driving conditions.

While climate control isn't necessary for driving, it sure helps make it a more comfortable experience. Auto parts stores have blowers, vents, A/C parts, and other things you need to make sure your climate control system can keep you at the right temperature.

There are several self-checks you can perform to see if the shock absorbers or struts on your vehicle need replacing. Look for leaking fluid, uneven tire wear or cupping, nose-diving when you brake, or excessive bouncing when you hit a bump or pot hole.

Learning is always part of the process of doing any work. That’s something that you simply can’t avoid. But actually doing the work is not something you have to pay an expert to do. Find out what is needed by checking out with the experts at a great parts store.

If you smell a sickly sweet smell coming from the engine, the problem could be leaking anti-freeze. Look under the engine to see if there is a pool of yellow green liquid. If there is, refill the radiator with fluid and bring your car in to be checked.

Have your vehicle’s oil changed as often as is recommended by the manufacturer to extend the life of the engine. Every other time you get the oil changed, have the tires rotated and balanced to preserve your treads.
