From coaching football to coaching customers through one of their biggest purchases — meet Jimmy “Coach” Lanoue!🏈
Jimmy has been part of our Bluebonnet family for two years, but before joining our sales team, he spent several years in education and coaching — most recently at Steele High School.
While selling vehicles may seem like a big change from coaching, Jimmy says there are important similarities. Sales is a competitive field, but it’s also about teamwork.
Jimmy knew he wanted a career that would keep him around people.
“I didn’t want to sit in a cubicle. I wanted a career where I could interact with people and build relationships,” Jimmy says.
That desire to help others is at the heart of how he approaches every customer.
“I love helping people out of a jam when they are stuck. I try to guide them to what fits their current situation.”
For Jimmy, it’s about more than listening — it’s about understanding what someone needs and helping them navigate their options. Sometimes customers don’t know what’s available to them, and he takes pride in getting them to the best possible outcome.
Teammates and managers describe Jimmy as fun, personable and great to work with — someone who makes sure customers get an honest deal and fantastic customer service.
Jimmy also appreciates that same commitment from the dealership. He says the Kahlig Auto Group genuinely cares about its customers, stands behind transparent pricing and finds ways to take care of its employees in ways other dealerships don’t.
Originally from New York, Jimmy has called Texas home for decades. He loves the people and winters here!
Outside of work, Jimmy enjoys fishing, hunting and, of course, football. He’s also a proud dad of one son and three daughters — and a grandfather of two, with another on the way! His family is in the area, making New Braunfels home in more ways than one.
We’re grateful to have Coach Jimmy on our Bluebonnet team. His passion for people, problem-solving and genuine desire to help others make him a great asset.
