We are proud to celebrate Drew Maynard, Service Technician at Rush Truck Centers – Doraville, as the first veteran in the nation to participate in the Isuzu Veterans Apprenticeship Program.

Through IVAP, veterans can build on the skills and experience gained during their military service through paid employment, hands-on training and a path toward Isuzu certification. Drew recently represented Rush Truck Centers at the program’s official launch and Apprenticeship Standards signing ceremony, marking an important milestone for this nationwide initiative.

Most technicians recognize clutch slippage as a sign of a locking compressor, and they often spot a burnt or discolored clutch and pulley. However, slippage can also indicate a voltage issue. When voltage drops below the minimum-required 11.5 volts at idle, clamping force decreases.

🔧 Remember: Never replace a compressor without first diagnosing and repairing the cause of clutch slippage.
