❄️ Ever wonder what actually makes the inside of your car cold?

Meet the A/C evaporator core.

It’s buried inside your dash, and it’s where the real cooling happens. Warm air from inside your vehicle passes across the cold evaporator, pulling heat and moisture out of the air before sending that nice, cold air back through your vents.

The problem? When an evaporator starts leaking or having issues, getting to it can mean taking apart a pretty good chunk of the dashboard. 😬

So if your A/C isn’t cooling like it used to, keeps losing refrigerant, or just can’t keep up with the Texas heat, there may be more going on than simply needing a “recharge.”

At HDS Automotive, we diagnose the system first so we can figure out why it isn’t cooling properly.

Sometimes you’ve gotta get a little deeper into the problem. 😂🔧

Dash out, tools everywhere, and our technician wondering why someone decided the evaporator core needed to live all the way in there.

At HDS Automotive, we’re not afraid of the big jobs. From A/C repairs and electrical issues to everyday maintenance, we’ll dig in and get it taken care of the right way.

Back-to-school season is officially here! 🎒✏️ And if your house is anything like ours, that means early mornings, school drop-offs, practices, activities, and about 47 places everyone needs to be at the same time. 😂

As a parent myself, I know the last thing you need in the middle of all that is car trouble.

That’s a big part of why we do what we do at HDS Automotive. We want to help take care of the parents who are doing all the running around—and make sure the vehicles carrying your kids are safe and ready for everything the school year throws at you.

We’re a local, family-owned shop right here in New Braunfels, specializing in Volkswagen, Audi & Toyota, along with servicing many other makes and models.
