I have to apologize to anyone that’s called in the last week. I screwed up a setting on my google phone and it apparently wasn’t sending calls or messages through. I think I fixed it. So, I’m sorry if I missed your call/voicemail/text.

FINALLY over COVID and am back in full swing. It being the first of August, its time to have that reminder post. Fall & winter are coming and with that, your furnace is going to be used soon. Have you run it up and checked to make sure that it runs and runs properly? When that temperature drops and the furnaces start getting used, all of the shops & mobile techs will start getting calls for these systems which means the parts will quickly disappear from the shelves. Run up those other systems and if you need service, better to get it repaired early than have to wait in the cold.

Visited one of my previous customers today after he reported a strange sound coming from the furnace this past winter. Pulled it out and found this nugget waiting for me (and a small frog that was safely released). I’ve posted about these bees before and the nests they like to build. Them (and hornets/wasps love the additive to propane and happily cozy up to it. Thought we are in summer, don’t forget to schedule your checks for the next season (and roof inspections!)

Yes there is a massive recall on some newer RV’s for brass fittings. I’m still trying to get the information about what fittings and where. Check this list in the article to see if your rig is on it. If so, call your manufacturer to see what can be done wherever you are. If you can’t get into the shop, see if they will authorize a mobile tech to come out.

Always know your wind! Last night, a very strong weather cell came through the Panhandle region with high wind and heavy rain. I have had a couple calls to come out and replace broken awnings and hardware. Please, always check your weather forecast and be ready. Windy.com is one of my favorite sites to check (mostly for fishing) along with Wind & Weather - 3D compass iOS app. Knowing and planning will save you lot of money.

Three months into 2022….I should probably make a post. Sorry y’all! I’ve been quite busy and I’m thankful every single day for it.

Spring is coming and that means those air conditioning units are going to be back to their usual business keeping you cool on those warm days. Don’t forget to clean those filters and check for rodents. If you do t want to get up on the roof, give your local mobile RV technician a call and schedule an appointment.

Here’s the reason I’m telling you this too. A/C’s just went up in price! What was $1,200.00 last year, is now closer to $1,800.00! Definitely get them checked early. Happy travels!

Such a great time working for the National Naval Aviation Museum this week! I installed a new A/C on one of their trailers that unfortunately didn’t come from the factory with one. This was a great project that required several plan changes, adjustments on the fly, and a little Marine Corps adapt & overcome mentality. They are now rocking 15k BTU of cooling air that should help keep them cool during those summer days.
