That's a wrap on the Charles.

Rental season at Nahanton Park Boathouse is officially over, and this summer gave us sunrise paddles, pancake mornings at the dock, a kayak rave, and more first-time paddlers than we could count.

Remember this day? The water was warm, the trees were loud with green, and nobody was thinking about October yet.
The lake is still out there. Natick Boathouse is open this weekend, which means there's still time for one more paddle before the kayaks go to sleep for the winter.

Thank you to everyone that visited Nahanton Park Boathouse this season. Every morning paddle, every group that piled into one canoe, every quiet evening on the Charles, we saw all of it and we're grateful for it.

The dock is quiet now. It is officially closed for the fall.

Every season ends the same way. A perfect week goes by, and suddenly someone says "wait, is this almost over?"

That's where we are right now. There is still time to get out on the water this season, but not much of it. Once Natick and Nahanton close their doors, that's it until next year.

Buy your 2027 Season Pass this week and it's already working for you, starting with this weekend. Natick and Nahanton Park still have rentals open, so there's nothing stopping you from using it right now.
