In the small town of Madisonville, Kentucky, Amanda "Mandy" Hollman, a Black woman, is found dead from a sh***un blast at her home in the 1920's. Her death was ruled a su***de. But Madisonville's Black community has never believed it. Years later, an oak tree Mandy planted shortly before her death grows to form an uncanny resemblance to her profile. The community discovers that this mysterious white oak, which became known as the Mandy Tree, is the keeper of a secret that refuses to die.
