Nissan really said, “Let’s see what happens.” 😳🚗

In 2024, Nissan France set the Guinness World Record for the highest car bungee jump, dropping a Nissan Qashqai from 65 meters — more than 213 feet — with professional race driver and stuntman Laurent Lasko strapped into the driver’s seat.

And this wasn’t just a case of attaching a giant bungee cord and hoping for the best. 😂

The stunt took a month of planning. A custom platform was built to hold the Qashqai horizontally and then tilt it to a 45-degree angle before release. The interior was stripped down to reduce weight, and a specially engineered bungee system made from eight ropes was designed to control the speed and distance of the fall.

For the record to count, both the Nissan and the bungee system had to remain intact.

They did. ✅

Now, we probably won’t be offering the 213-foot bungee-jump test drive anytime soon…
