After 45 years owning Reliance Autocare I've closed my toolbox for the last time, sold the business, and retired.


Many of you have been customers for years. In fact, I have many customers who are the grandchildren of some of my original customers. I didn't want to leave without saying goodbye. I appreciate the trust you've had in Reliance. We've worked together to keep your vehicles safe and reliable. While retiring is somewhat bittersweet, I look forward to doing many things which I have planned for years. I won't be bored.



Over the years I've had some special employees. It wouldn't be right if I didn't thank Dave, Reliance's outstanding general manager for over 20 years. Also, mechanics Daren, Matthew, Caleb, and John were employees (teammates really) who make a business great and would have excelled in any field they chose. Alice, Dominic and Chrissie, I haven't forgotten you. Thanks all! And a supreme thanks to my office manager (and wife!) Marie for expertly taking care of a hundred and one critical details that happen behind the scenes.



After Dave retired, I was often asked by customers, what will we do when you retire? I assured everyone that I would not leave them stranded. Their loyalty to me would be returned and I would ensure that any new owner would uphold the name Reliance. I have kept that promise. One of the mechanics who I mentioned above, Daren, worked here from 1988 to 1993. He left to attend business school after which he worked for several different large automotive related businesses in the Nashua area. His abiding dream over the years was to one day own his own shop, preferably Reliance Autocare. When he heard that I was considering retiring he got in touch and the rest, as they say, is history. We completed an asset sale on June 30th. Daren Boucher Properties LLC, d/b/a Reliance Autocare, is now the owner.



I know that Daren will -as he did three decades ago as a mechanic at Reliance- uphold the high standard I set for taking care of your vehicles. Please stop in to say hello. Reliance Autocare is where I'll be bringing my cars, see you there.

"My family has been using Reliance Autocare for as long as I can remember. My father got his cars fixed there and now my wife and I do. All in all they have kept at least 6 different cars on the road until it was time to replace them.
They always call and tell us what is wrong and how much it will cost. I can't remember the bill ever being different than what they said. Our cars are ready when they say they will be and most of the time we can wait for fast stuff like an oil change or state inspection. They have a nice waiting room (with lots of magazines my wife likes!) and I like the coffee. Dave and Rolland are the best! We can't imagine ever going anywhere else."
