Wheel bearings should generally be inspected/repacked about every 2 years or 10,000 miles and it’s one of those maintenance items that’s easy to forget.
Regular wheel-bearing service allows us to clean and inspect the bearings, replace the grease, inspect seals and look for signs of wear, overheating or damage. Properly maintained bearings help reduce the risk of bearing failure, excessive heat and costly roadside breakdowns exactly the kind of surprise nobody wants while towing their camper!
