Parents of students who drive. Please remind your students that if they are driving they are to be using hands free devices. Yesterday I was informed by one of our Patrol Officers that several students were on their phones while leaving NWHS. I have an announcement being made at the end of the day to remind students. Officers will be paying attention and making stops if anyone is violation of this law. Please help us keep our kiddos safe.

BLOWING SNOW INTO STREETS

We ask that residents don’t shovel or plow snow into the street. The Street Department is responsible for keeping our streets clear and as safe as possible. Snow thrown back onto the streets makes our roads less safe and takes the crews longer to clear. We appreciate your cooperation. 👍🏼

The City of Nappanee will commence snowplow operations as snow accumulates. We will do our best to keep our roads as clear and safe as possible. We ask for your cooperation as we work through this snowfall together.

If you have a car parked on the street, we will ask that you please move it off the street, if possible. If off-street parking is not available, we ask that you move your car periodically as we will be making multiple passes through the city.

Thousands of vehicles by comparing their Environmental Protection Agency fuel economy ratings with actual owner-reported gas mileage as listed on the EPA’s website.
