Should be able to just about put one together.

The coupe was wrecked decades ago left for dead.

Went to California to get a quarter panel (off a 1957 Chrysler 300C, just swap out the taillight mounting bucket), and a door shell.

The sedan runs... it moves... it stops. Previous owner redid the brakes and radiator.

The coupe had the rear glass missing, and the roof skin was rotted away above the drip rail.

The skin was removed, and a 1967 Pontiac GTO convertible top rack was set in place as the side profile matched up with the DeSoto windows quite well.

The top frame would need to be modified, widened approximately three inches, and a custom header would need to be fabricated to meet up to the windshield to make your own faux convertible.

I'm contemplating letting the project(s) go to a new owner, as I don't have the means to move forward with the cars the way I had hoped.

The sedan has a 361 engine and auto trans.

The coupe was a 361, auto.

I'm keeping the front seat out of the sedan, but all the rest goes.

Would need $4,500 for everything to let it go.
Please don't add negative or low IQ comments about what you think they're worth or my way of reasoning.

I'm simply stating what it would take to get me to let them go, and if nobody wants to buy them, they're free to move on, and I'll be happy to just keep them until I'm in a better position to do something with them.

I literally have exactly what I'm asking invested in these cars right now as they sit, because I liked them enough to not care about their worth.

I'd probably leave the garage doors white, at least until I win the PowerBall and put in aluminum framed glass doors.

Still pretty neat to see the possibilities.

1958 Ford Custom 300 project.

Needs rust repair. Floor pans, radiator support, spare tire well, lower quarters, rockers, etc. Normal stuff for an unrestored car of the era.

Three speed column shift transmission still in there.

No engine. Was a 223 inline 6.

$1000

Possible trades for stuff I can use:

*2x10 Lumber (12 ft and 16 ft length)

*1970 Chevelle / El Camino parts, such as a dash pad, rally dash and gauges, bucket seats, console, horse shoe shifter for an automatic, aluminum sbc intake and Holley carburetor, etc.

1967 Pontiac GTO parts, one piece floor pan, 400, 428, or 455 engine, Muncie 4 speed, front bucket seats, rear convertible seat.

All sorts of cool stuff you can do with this car on a shoe string budget - fox body V8 Mustang V8 engine mounts make a swap easy, along with shorty headers...Ford Torono/Thunderbird models from the 1970s allow the front spindles to be swapped, which gives you disc brakes and a lowered front suspension. If you want it even lower in the front than that, Ford Aerostar van coil springs firm up the ride and knock it down another inch or so.

This car was as basic as they come, no power steering, brakes, or anything else for that matter. No air conditioning... not even a heater!

Best I can tell, it had an am radio, and the front fender ornaments as the only options.

Super light weight and unique looking car that could be a riot with some cosmetic repairs and an influx of horsepower - preferably with a 5 speed stick to enhance the giggle factor.

Can deliver.

Buy one, get one free!

Two 1958 Fords. The green and white Custom 300 would be the builder. Pretty plain Jane, stripped down model. The 223 inline 6 cylinder engine is no good, and is missing parts. Three speed manual column shift transmission. No power options, no heater, no passenger's sun visor, no carpet, no armrests, about as basic (and light weight) as they come. Only options I can see that it did come with, were the fender ornaments, and an AM radio.

Car has rust in the floor pans, spare tire well, hood, radiator support, rockers, etc. Normal stuff for a 60 + year old, unrestored car.

The red one is a Ranchero. It was the deluxe version, with the upgraded exterior trim. Was two tone red and white originally. It has a stuck 292 Y Block V8 and a three speed manual column shift transmission.

The rust on this one is beyond severe, with the complete bottom of the body being gone, and the frame itself rotted through in multiple places. I bought this one specifically for the things the Custom 300 was missing.

Both cars roll and steer. I can help deliver them.
