HELP WANTED - Got automotive repair experience? If so, come talk to Ken at Pugh's Car Care Center in Nags Head, North Carolina. Busy shop that has been in business over 40 years. We are looking for an Automotive Technician and a Lube/Tire Technician. Auto Techs must have at least 5 year's experience with a good background in troubleshooting electrical, drivability, HVAC systems and general automotive knowledge. Lube/Tire Tech must have at least 1 year experience. Excellent pay based on experience, yearly paid vacation, paid holidays, yearly bonus on productivity, retirement plan, health insurance, plus other benefits. No WEEKEND work is a bonus as well. Here lately, we have seen an influx of repairs to our shop done by mobile mechanics. I’m not saying all mobile mechanics are bad, because I’m sure there are some good ones, but watching you tube videos and buying a tool set does not qualify you as a professional. Most A techs have many years experience and are always learning new information every year. The faulty repairs we’ve seen are just mistakes they have made because they don’t have the years of experience they need. If you hire a mobile guy, ask him or her about their expertise. Do they have insurance in case they damage something they can’t fix. What kind of warranty are you getting for their services. The photo I’m attaching is someone trying to fix an air conditioning problem with no experience, no a/c machine for the a pressure test, evacuation or recharge on the system. They took a recirculating saw and cut on the evaporator core housing trying to repair a part with doing the proper removal and replacement causing this customer a lot of money because the mechanic had no liability insurance. Please be cautious

Customer was complaining of check engine light on and vehicle was running bad. After an inspection of the engine compartment and pulling the intake off we found a rodent had built a nest. Guess in got hungry and started chewing wires. We’ll get her back on the road soon.
