This was a really hard end to our race season. A catastrophic swing arm failure left Robert fighting the bike all around the track for Q1 on Friday, leaving him 10 seconds off his own pace from last year. Saturday morning kindly let us use their welder to repair the swing arm. We reassembled the bike, slapped some rains on, and out we went at 10:55 for Q2. Robert took 5 seconds off his time from the start of the wet session (another lap and I’m positive he could have dropped some more time). He finished Q2 ahead of 2 great riders and , but it still wasn’t enough to make the cut based on his Q1 times, and thus for the first time this season the #713 machine didn’t make the grid for the rounds we entered.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, in everything give thanks. Even through the trials of it all, we have much to be thankful for. Starting with .ralph who is our fork sponsor and friend. He comes to the track and down to whenever needed. He helps in so many ways with genuine excitement for what we are doing! Those we have met along the way who have volunteered to literally sweat their way through a weekend or drowned in the rain with us: , , .dson3629, , , , and , you have all been a great blessing to our team! thank you for the discounts on parts and trusting our company with the motor work you can count on for your customers.
