kicked butt and made that 440 drip with some street hemi orange. It looks killer babe! Now we can balance the crank and then it’s time to pop in freeze plugs cam bearings main bearings and lay that crank in there. Not too far from her first breath 🔥😈

Roger is a master with over 50yrs at this, what an honor to watch, learn and build this engine for Alex’s duster with him. The line hone went perfectly! All the main caps are within half a thousandth of an inch and will secure that crank down solidly and with even clamping pressure. Once we hit the crank on the balancer this thing is gonna run smoother than butter. Be sure to tune into our YouTube Channel: Fanelli Restorations. Machine shop fun! New episode will come out soon on our YouTube channel Fanelli Restorations🏁 we’ve got Alex’s 440 block for her duster bored, pistons and rods are balanced, and today we machined the main caps, installed the main studs and torqued to spec so it can be line bored, then got the block set in the honing machine and locked down the deck plate (or torque plate) to replicate cylinder head torque on the block for an even hone. Well let it sit overnight and then get that sweet crosshatch on her tomorrow ⚔️. Once the block is final honed and line honed we can get the crank balanced💪🏼 I’m so stoked for you babe! 🇺🇸😎💪🏼

The fanelli yard has seen some colors this year!! Driving Big Bob and the Bee with adding some green and yellow, adding her Allis and Chalmers with some orange, the 69 GTX with some red, the ‘78 Macho Spirit wagon with some orange and white, waving goodbye to the black ‘78 PW, some black and blue with the ‘63 330s, and sprinkle some white with the Wildcat. I have all my toys in one place again for the first time in a while and it’s a comforting feeling. I completed 5 one way cross country 2000 mile road trips in 2020-2021 to drive the Mustang, Hefty, Roadrunner (trailered behind moving truck), wildcat, and Big Bob. We added some, sold some. Hoping to build a bigger shop soon, but for now the duster build continues. Thank you all for the support along the way.

Anyone have an extra bag of cash they wanna forget on our doorstep? This ‘70 Coronet Wagon owned by a friend of ours in Cali and has been apple of my car addiction gotta-but-them-all-before-they’re-all-bought-up-or-crushed-forever eye…but I have quite a few projects currently so, yea😤😂. I’ve always wanted one. What is that next project car you’re drooling over- even if you don’t need it? We all can always find it in our hearts to make space on our lawns/in our yard for one more right? my birthday is coming! 😝❤️
