A QUICK STATEMENT REGARDING TONIGHT
Tonight, what should have been a great night of racing turned into unnecessary family drama, arguing, threats, and physical confrontation in the pits.
Let me be very clear: that will not be tolerated at this racetrack.
After the Hornets feature, the top three cars were sent through tech by an independent tech official from outside the area specifically to eliminate any question of favoritism or impropriety. The tech process was completed, and the results stood.
What happened afterward crossed the line. Arguments escalated, punches were thrown, and law enforcement was called. Multiple people were involved, and disciplinary action was taken.
As a result, the following suspensions have been issued:
• Driver J14 — suspended two racing weekends
• Driver 14A — suspended two racing weekends
• Two crew members of the 45J — suspended two racing weekends
These suspensions include the September 5–6 Labor Day weekend and September 19. With the September 12 weekend being off, those suspended will be eligible to return September 26.
And to be absolutely clear: two racing weekends means two racing weekends. A two-day show does not count as two separate weekends.
I, along with so many volunteers have invested far too much time, money, and effort into this racetrack to allow a handful of people to turn it into a place where fighting, screaming, threats, and disrespect toward officials are acceptable.
You can disagree with a call. You can question a decision. You can protest a tech result through the proper channels.
What you cannot do is fight in the pits, threaten people, or disrespect track officials and expect there to be no consequences.
I am done making excuses for this kind of behavior.
I want this place to be successful. I want families here. I want great racing. But if people cannot conduct themselves appropriately, they will not be welcome here; regardless of who they are, who they know, or how much history they have at this track.
The racing comes first. The rules apply to everyone. Period.
