Recently, after receiving a vehicle to donate, CBA Ocotillo gave their time, talent and expertise to ensure it was safe and reliable on the road. Once it was ready, they began praying about who should receive it. As they sought God’s direction, one organization kept coming to mind: Teen Challenge Home of Hope.

When the team reached out to the home’s director, they discovered one of the ministry’s staff members, Jewells, had been faithfully praying for reliable transportation. A graduate of Home of Hope herself, Jewells chose to remain after completing the program, first serving as an intern before joining the staff. Today, she dedicates her life to serving the women and children who find refuge and healing through the ministry.

The director shared that she and Jewells had been praying specifically for a vehicle and believed God had already promised to provide one. The call from the Ocotillo team was the answer they had been waiting for.

National Taco Day Raises $9,354 for Feed the Hunger
Thank you to everyone who participated in National Taco Day! Thanks to your efforts, the CBA Foundation has donated over $9,000 to Feed the Hunger, a non-profit committed to feeding the spiritual and physical hunger, especially in at-risk children.

Congratulations to our shop winners, CBA Peoria-Thunderbird, with 225 total tacos consumed! We had a tie for our individual winner, with Mike and Torsten from CBA Shawnee, each clocking in a whopping 35 tacos! Way to eat for charity, everyone! 🌮

Job Overview:

We are looking for technicians / mechanics who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what’s right for our guests.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Technicians use their knowledge & skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for our guests Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles

Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization

Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate guest concerns Work together with other Technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results

Qualifications:

Positive attitude and a desire to serve guests

5+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic

ASE Certifications preferred, or held previously

Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles

Meet or exceed hourly goals

Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes

Professional appearance and strong communication

A desire for long-term career development

Physical Requirements:

Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds

Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head

In our relentless attempt to improve technician efficiency and productivity, we will always hold customer
satisfaction in incredibly high regard. This award honors our technicians that were able to flag a minimum of
2,340 hours (an average of 45 hours/week) over a 12-month period. Those that have earned this award have
shown that while working at a very efficient pace, they also were able to maintain an unyielding focus on quality
diagnosis and repair.

I am very Proud of our Technician Jeff Dahmen for achieving this Award and averaging 50-55 hrs a week in Excellent Auto Repairs for 1 year.

• Communicate cause and correction for customer concerns regarding their vehicle.
• Perform a wide range of automotive repairs.
• Review TSB's and other service recommendations and translate to customer needs.

• Complete full, accurate, and honest digital courtesy inspections.

• Master MFG level diagnostic tools (MFG scantools and subscriptions provided by CBA)

• Ability to Flag 40+ hours per week.
• Desire to serve customers.
• Prefer experience with all makes and models.
• Dealership diagnostic equipment experience a plus.
• Current ASE Certifications and/or willingness to obtain ASE Certifications is a plus.
