So here resolved the misfire on this 2002 . It has 271,000mi and it is still running strong! 🛻

We recommended some to the owner. The vehicle has been in the family for well over a decade and the owner wants to keep up on the maintenance. So we will be seeing this one again soon :)

We got called out to replace a battery for this 1999 . There are only 55,000 miles on this yellow pony 🐎

Our client mentioned that it was being sold to a family friend. This vehicle is super clean, so that is one lucky friend!

Our first job of the day was a small fleet for medical supply delivery. We had scheduled one for today and 2 for tomorrow, but all vehicles were present and we had all the parts to perform all 3 oil changes… so bada bing 3 in one shot 😍

Not too much to report on this new tiny fleet of Hyundais, just some air filters and a couple have brakes coming up soon. Over all a clean bill of health 😎👍

This is a 1992 Buick LeSabre with 136k on the clock 😮 It is like a time capsule! Our clients have had this beast for 2 years and bought it with only 75k on the odometer!

This was a quick diagnostic. A failed starter stranded this musician at their home. Because this is an older vehicle, not a single shop had the starter in stock for a same day repair 🤷‍♀️

We will be returning to this one tomorrow to get it up and running! 🔧

We had a returning client reach out to us for brake work. They assumed the grinding they heard/felt was coming from the front of the vehicle 🔧

Once we were told WHAT the vehicle was, we had a feeling the grinding was also coming from the rear. We came prepared for front brakes and after a quick inspection we found the right rear wheel also grinding on the inside pad.

There was also a caliper bracket that was seized.

This turned into a complete brake job and we are super grateful we were so close to a hub store that also carried all the extra parts we needed 😃

Once we had everything, the job went pretty quick. We had this truck scheduled for tomorrow morning, but we had a 1p no show so we were able to accommodate a day early 👍

Our last job on this day was on this 2016 . It is the owner’s 2nd “playtime” vehicle and it needed some TLC ♥️

We performed an oil change service and rotated those heavy tires 💪

Our client was concerned about a mysterious fluid they’d found in the driveway 😳 Once we got under the , it was easy to see that the fluid was transmission fluid coming from between the engine and transmission 😯

We do not drop transmissions out in the field, so I referred them to a shop for that repair 👍

Other than the small leak, this Jeep was in great shape!

I also had a surprise helper with me. The weather was amazing and Daphne wanted to wrench 🔧 so todays homeschool was repairing 😮😜🥰

Right here we have original alternator bearings that have failed on this 2010 with 270,000 miles on the odometer.

This bearing failure caused the belt to shred and with that take out the power steering belt along with it.

Providing a new alternator and new belts easily resolved the charging issues on this vehicle 😊 🔧

Happy New Year 2023! 🎆

Today our son got to spend the day wrenching with us 🥹💜

We have here a Spindle replacement along with new ball joints, rotors, bearings and brake pads for this 1995 .

A pretty smooth job for us. The weather was amazing today and the repair went easy peasy.

Definitely a great way to start the new year! 🛻 🔧

The weather lately is so crazy! lol. Monday we were bundled up in multiple layers - freezing our fingers off! The day of this repair today it was 65 degrees out and we were wishing we wore shorts 😆

Our first job of the day was good old Toyota love 💗

This was cruising (😜) down the freeway and was suddenly struck by some rogue luggage 🤯 🧳

Moments later our driver noticed smoke coming from the hood and he did just as he should and pulled over immediately 🥹😍🙏

We quickly found the leak and got the radiator replaced and installed with some new hoses 😎

For a 2007 and with 290,000mi on the odometer, it ran pretty well despite the lack of maintenance 😅 🔧

We are sooo glad it is warming back up here in middle Tennessee. Monday was insanely cold! Pretty sure we didn’t feel our fingers all day 🥶

Here was our first job on this Monday. A battery replacement for this . I was surprised to see a date of 2016 on the old battery 😯

We were finally able to get to this 3500 cutaway finished on Tuesday 😁

It took us two visits to get the dually rear brakes and the heavy duty front brakes replaced. We also performed the brake fluid flush and the serpentine belts 🔧

We are most definitely looking forward to more dually brake jobs 😅😬😜

“My brakes were only working when I put my foot down almost all the way in. I bought some brake pads as I thought that was the issue from the previous owner and came to Cosmic Brakes to get these installed. Rocco replaced the pads and advised the caliper slider pins were seized, causing brakes to not perform as well. It was also the issue behind my parking brake not working well. Now everything feels great, glad to be driving my car safely again.”

Our first call of today is a newly owned used carvana vehicle 😬

My client has only has this vehicle about a month and we got called out for a check engine light and low brake fluid.

Engine oil was recently changed but my client was unsure if it was changed before or after the check engine light appeared 🤔

Freeze frame data says the light came on first thing in the morning on a super cold day… but our client says it came on after an hour of driving 🤯🤷‍♂️

Found zero issues related to code . We believe the car was low on oil and the issue was corrected before I arrived.

The same shop that did the initial oil change, topped off the dangerously low brake fluid, but didn’t inform the client of the dangerously low brake pad life. 🤦‍♂️

Honestly, this car never should of been sold with this much maintenance needed just a month after purchase.

Air filter, serpentine belt, front brakes, brake flush, drum brake service…come on now, let’s do better than that!

In the end, ALWAYS GET A PRE PURCHASE INSPECTION! Emphasis on the PRE 😎👍 and these headaches can definitely be avoided.
