Recently, we have seen some comments made about our business on Facebook, and we feel it is important to address them.
Some have mentioned that we have been difficult to reach lately. As many of you know, we are a family-owned and operated business. Our office manager, who is also the owners’ daughter, was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly before Thanksgiving. This was an unexpected shock to our family, and she has since undergone two surgeries and continues treatment.
Just as she was beginning to return and get back into the swing of things, the owner, her father, was diagnosed with kidney cancer and was scheduled right away for surgery. Unfortunately, he experienced major complications, which led to us closing the office for several days so we could be with him. Thankfully, things turned around, and he is doing better. However, he has a long recovery ahead of him.
Our office staff consists of three people: the husband-and-wife owners and their daughter. This is a deeply personal matter, and we had hoped to keep it private, but we now feel it is necessary to share so our customers can better understand the challenges our family has been facing.
We are incredibly grateful to our customers, as so many have shown patience, kindness, and understanding while we navigate these difficult circumstances. Despite everything, our vehicles have remained on the road, and our 9 remaining wonderful instructors have continued working hard to serve our students.
We also want to remind everyone that if you need to meet with someone from the office in person, appointments are required, as our office staff also works remotely at times.
Additionally, students have 180 days to complete their course. Unfortunately, many students wait until they are close to the end of that 180-day period before reaching out to schedule their driving lessons, which can understandably create stress and panic about getting everything completed on time.
We strongly encourage students to begin scheduling their drives as soon as they receive their permit and to follow the scheduling timeline we provide. Students who do this generally have no trouble completing their drives within the required timeframe, even during periods when we are booked out. While students have 180 days to complete the course, we also have 180 days from the time students reach out to schedule their drives to complete those lessons.
We remain committed to providing the best service possible and kindly ask for your continued patience as we work to get caught up and train additional office staff in the future to help improve response times.
We know God is good and will carry our family through this season. We truly appreciate your support, prayers, and understanding!
