Recently, we have seen some comments made about our business on Facebook, and we feel it is important to address them.

Some have mentioned that we have been difficult to reach lately. As many of you know, we are a family-owned and operated business. Our office manager, who is also the owners’ daughter, was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly before Thanksgiving. This was an unexpected shock to our family, and she has since undergone two surgeries and continues treatment.

Just as she was beginning to return and get back into the swing of things, the owner, her father, was diagnosed with kidney cancer and was scheduled right away for surgery. Unfortunately, he experienced major complications, which led to us closing the office for several days so we could be with him. Thankfully, things turned around, and he is doing better. However, he has a long recovery ahead of him.

Our office staff consists of three people: the husband-and-wife owners and their daughter. This is a deeply personal matter, and we had hoped to keep it private, but we now feel it is necessary to share so our customers can better understand the challenges our family has been facing.

We are incredibly grateful to our customers, as so many have shown patience, kindness, and understanding while we navigate these difficult circumstances. Despite everything, our vehicles have remained on the road, and our 9 remaining wonderful instructors have continued working hard to serve our students.

We also want to remind everyone that if you need to meet with someone from the office in person, appointments are required, as our office staff also works remotely at times.

Additionally, students have 180 days to complete their course. Unfortunately, many students wait until they are close to the end of that 180-day period before reaching out to schedule their driving lessons, which can understandably create stress and panic about getting everything completed on time.

We strongly encourage students to begin scheduling their drives as soon as they receive their permit and to follow the scheduling timeline we provide. Students who do this generally have no trouble completing their drives within the required timeframe, even during periods when we are booked out. While students have 180 days to complete the course, we also have 180 days from the time students reach out to schedule their drives to complete those lessons.

We remain committed to providing the best service possible and kindly ask for your continued patience as we work to get caught up and train additional office staff in the future to help improve response times.

We know God is good and will carry our family through this season. We truly appreciate your support, prayers, and understanding!

🚘As of JULY 1st, 2026, new Indiana drivers will be able to obtain a drivers license the day they turn 16, as long as they have successfully completed an approved driver education program (Indiana House Bill 1200). Without drivers education, the requirement remains at 16 years and 270 days to obtain a license. ❄️For our parents and students who have drives scheduled for this weekend, below is a reminder of travel advisory levels, and our cancellation policy.

If the travel advisory status moves to orange or red, we will cancel drives. We do still hold drives at the lowest travel advisory level (yellow). A parent or student may cancel a drive with no cancellation fee when we are on yellow, as long as the drive is canceled a minimum of two hours in advance.

Just click this travel advisory map link anytime to see the current status:

Thanks so much and stay safe out there this weekend!

🔴 Red (Warning): The highest level of local travel advisory. It means travel may be restricted to emergency management workers only, and all other individuals should avoid being on the roads.

🟠 Orange (Watch): Conditions are threatening to the safety of the public. Only essential travel (e.g., work, emergencies) is recommended.

🟡 Yellow (Advisory): The lowest level of travel advisory. Routine travel may be restricted in some areas, and drivers should use caution or avoid the area if possible.

🟢/⚪ Green/Gray: Normal, with no travel restrictions or hazards reported.

It’s COLD. They say it’s going to SNOW! Anywhere from 1–1,000 inches! 😄❄️

The good news is we have time to prepare for what may come. Stock up on milk, bread, and eggs—because we all know mountains of French toast are the official winter storm warning survival food. 🥖🥛🥚

So let’s prepare for a weekend of staying home if possible. Cozy up with friends and loved ones, a good movie or a streaming series, and some hot beverages. ☕️

If you HAVE to be out, make sure you have the necessary items to stay safe and warm in your car:

-Make sure your wipers are working properly
-Find your snow scraper
-Working phone charger
-Hats, gloves, and coats are a must if you have to be outside your car
-Blanket, water, and snacks are a good idea

First responders will be out responding to calls for service and monitoring roadways. We will update you all weekend on road conditions as they come in.

You stay home. We’ll be out. Call if you need us. 🚔

From our family to yours, wishing you a safe + beautiful 2026! 💫
