It has been a Busy week for us so I haven't gotten around to posting anything all week. Therefore, for your viewing pleasure here is a 5 year ceramic coating we did on this Ram last Monday.

We also ceramic coated a 26 Chevy Traverse, a 35' 5th wheel, polished a 20 ft ski boat and knocked out five deluxe details and a couple interiors detail jobs.

Why do we decontaminate your paint?

Over time your paint becomes contaminated with environmental contaminates such as road grime, brake dust, rail dust, and calcium deposits. These contaminates build up and clog in the pores of your paint. Although, regular washing intervals will minimize the amount of contamination in your paint it will not fully remove it. Paint contamination can make you paint dull, drab and it it will seem as though you cars paint has lost it's luster.

We use a combination of chemical and mechanical methods to decontaminate your paint restoring its gloss. Removing these contaminates also allows the applied protection, wax, sealant or ceramic coating, to adhere better in turn lasting longer.

How often should I decontaminate my paint?
I'm glad you asked! There are many factors that determine this. Is it a daily driver or a toy that is driven occasionally? What type of conditions is the vehicle driven in, muddy, city traffic, snow, rain, off-road? Is it garage kept or does it sit outside 24/7?

There is no definitive answer as to how often to decontaminate you paint due to the varying conditions your car is exposed too but my recommendation to my customers is six months to a year. At the very least once a year so that it doesn't build up and become more difficult and costly to remove.
