This annual Labor Day Weekend event celebrates classic rides, food, community, and a great Mount Shasta tradition.

⚡ Check out the official award lineup for the 2026 Thunder on the Mountain Show N Shine!

This year, we’ll be presenting 29 total awards featuring many of our classic categories, including Best in Show, Best Custom, Best Street Rod, Best Hot Rod, Best Paint, Best Truck, Best Motorcycle, and more.

We also have some new and exciting awards in the lineup, including The “Big Nasty” Award for the biggest and baddest engine, Most Unique as well as some of the fan favorites including the Billy Brown Award, the Veteran Owned Award presented by the Mt. Shasta Elks Club, and 10 Individual Business Awards.

Calling all motorcycle and two-wheel enthusiasts!

Thunder on the Mountain has multiple motorcycle award categories, and we want to see your ride!

Have a custom golf cart, side-by-side, or another unique ride? Bring it! If we get enough entries, we may create a new award category.

We’re looking at fun ways to expand our categories and get even more people involved in Thunder on the Mountain 2026, and we want to know if there’s interest in adding a Golf Cart Category to this year’s show!

Drop a comment below if you’d enter one or know someone who should. If we get enough interest, we’ll officially add it to the 2026 lineup!

🚨 NEW THIS YEAR at Thunder on the Mountain! 🚨

Come hungry and kick off event day with a Community Breakfast in partnership with Black Bear Diner! 🥞🍳🥓

For just $12 per ticket, you’ll get a full Black Bear breakfast including eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy, and French toast. Plus, through Black Bear’s Bears That Care initiative, $2 from every ticket will be donated back to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta to support local youth.
