One of our customers brought in his 15 year old Silverado to try to preserve the chassis and get some more life out of the truck. It wasn't the worse we have seen but it was certainly "Right There" at the point where it would of cost major money to repair or maybe not feasible at all. The guys removed the bed, fuel tank, exhaust and anything else that would hinder refinishing or sand blasting. Then the chassis gets steam cleaned so we can evaluate what we have. Once any necessary repairs are made, it's over to Media Blasting where everything gets stripped to bare metal. Then the chassis is re-evaluated to be sure we didn't uncover any other damage before an epoxy primer and urethane enamel gloss black finish is applied. Then the bed underside is coated with Raptor Liner to prevent future rust issues. We also did the inside of the bed at the customer's request. The truck is reassembled and then this unit had some additional services performed by the shop to keep everything running smoothly.

Presented a new Mac Tools Roll Cabinet to the highest achieving Senior at the Monroe Career and Technical Institute ceremony the other night. This is our 31'st year providing this award to the Automotive Class. This young man has his target set for a great future and we wish him the best!

Eddie was at MCTI last week for the Co-Op Luncheon. We have 3 students this year and all are getting it done. These young men have all hit the ground running and have done well for Team Eds. Dan has another year to go but Vincent & Dontae graduate this summer. And a Shout Out to Monroe Career and Technical Institute (MCTI) for building a viable workforce for our community. This is our future...Make us proud!

Accident tonight on 196. I don't believe there were any serious injuries, but everyone went to area hospitals. Thank You to the Coolbaugh Township Volunteer Fire Company for the assistance in cleaning up a pretty big mess as well as the photographs while we worked.

Big things coming to Ed's Towing! We will be having a contractor paving our entire front entrance & parking lot next week starting Monday AM the 13th. Just wanted to let everyone know we are still open and will have signage out at our lower truck entrance as well as an office entrance in the rear of the building for access. While this is happening, we are using the time to refinish & update our customer waiting area so we won't be able to accommodate any "Waiting" appointments during this period as well. We will be offering vehicle pick up & delivery for anyone who is unable to drop their vehicle off so please take advantage of it if it helps your situation. We are anticipating that the upgrades will be complete by the 19th. It's been over 30 years I have been wanting to do this and we are excited for the new look & upgrade! Thank you for your patience through our alterations.

Running a small business can be difficult and often you find that there are factors & circumstances that you have no control over but can greatly effect your business. THIS is one of those circumstances... We were called early in the AM a few weeks ago for a catastrophic vehicle accident with multiple vehicles, a diesel fuel spill and unusual conditions. We knew the issue involved cars and a heavy truck so everyone gets put on alert and starts rolling equipment to the scene. We found that a loaded commercial Box Truck was traveling on 611 south in Tobyhanna when it drifted over in to the shoulder and struck a car that was sitting in the break down lane. It then careened off the car, crossed 4 lanes of highway entering the parking lot of a repair service. The truck struck 6 vehicles in the parking lot, got lodged on an Infinity coupe and proceeded to push it right through the wall of the building. As it pierced the wall, it struck the shops Rollback truck and pushed that 15 ft sideways, striking 2 other cars in the shop and knocking one off of a lift. The carnage & damage was pretty incredible and it was amazing that nobody was seriously injured. Our Team staged all of the vehicles and extracted the wreckage out of the building. Our clean up equipment was used to remediate the damage and perform the fuel spill clean up. All of the debris were contained & disposed of. I feel terrible for these folks to have to go through such a catastrophe and hope that John & his family can get through this as easy as possible. Business is tough enough not going through a major loss like this.

We'd like to give a big THANK YOU to Ed's towing for picking up and delivering two vehicles that were donated to our Automotive Technology Department. The truck was just won by two students at a competition at Northampton Community College and the Explorer was donated to us by Lehigh Valley Health Network Ambulance. Both vehicles will be a huge help for our students to learn on.
