Recap from Toledo OH with USAC 10/3:

We made the tow up for the final USAC Silvercrown race.
Unloaded about 13/14 fast of the 18 cars there with a different game plan to the day.
After trying a different starting setup we made some ground through the practice sessions. Set out the qualify and ended up a little tight through the corners. And that placed us still 14th quick. But with the couple tenth difference, we could have been a 11-13th car more than likely.

Lined up for the feature and after a competitor couldn’t fire and pull away that started us on the inside row. Which at the drop of the green didn’t take off quite like the outside row did. So we lost a couple positions.
After jumping to the outside and taking back a couple spots we found a groove and maintained a good pace for a number of laps.

Lost 2 spots due to a mistake around lap 35 and around 40 the engine had reached the temperature threshold of pulling off. So unfortunately we were a DNF for the night.
BUT!
There were some good opportunity’s to race with some cars that were much faster than us to start the year so we’ve seen improvement Forsure.
And while trying some different things with the car we believe we have found the edge and now have more tools for the toolbelt.
The worst part about it all, is we now have to wait all winter to expand on what we’ve learned. And just wish there was another race or two to continue with our car and driver R and D.

This is more than likely the end of our 2026 season.
We’ll have a season Recap coming out before too long. And hopefully some updates soon on next years early plans!
We had our eye on a couple other races to end the year, but with the ever decreasing offseason.
We’ve decided it’s about time to stop, regroup, and build back for a bigger and better campaign next year!

Thanks to everyone that’s been apart of the ride so far and while this was our most successful year to date. It was also one of more trying second half’s to a season so far. But with our support and great partners we were able to still finish pretty strong!

Race day at Toledo Speedway OH.

This will be our final race with the Silvercrown car this year and possibly the end of the season for us. There’s one or two more scheduled that we have our eye on but we’re not far from needing to start getting some more equipment ready for next year!

Catch us on Flo racing throughout today and the races will be around 5-6 this evening hopefully!

Recap from Lakeview speedway 9/26

Well, not the outing we were looking for to say the least.
But! Once again I’m amazed at how our team sucked it up and made the best out of a bad situation!

Long story short the driver ran out of talent a little early in the night.
Half way through practice the car got tight and pushed up the track. And before i could get it back under control we ramped the concrete and went for a ride. Flipped out of the speedway and somehow managed to flip back into the track.

Never do anything half way!

Got the hook and headed back to the pits.
And after a while of accessing and getting some parts around we found that the car could still roll and move under its own power. With the front axle bent, no spring and a make shift traveling rod holding up the RF, half roll of duct tape holding the top wing together, and the bottom right side rail of the frame going every way but straight.
So we decided to attempt to turn a lap under power to claim start money.

Lined up tail back of the feature and then proceeded to run the entire race.
Picking up a few positions and finishing 7th.

It was definitely a handful, but we managed to keep our nose clean and make it too the end. Which is much more than I could ever had hoped for.

Thanks to everyone that came around and we definitely appreciate everyone. This will put an end to our local racing season and I believe that lands us in 6th for local points.
Not to bad for missing a few of the races but thankful for the few wins and some great finishes otherwise!

We will rebuild and get things straightened back out!

Race day at Lakeview speedway with the Carolina Sprint Tour. This will be the final race for the in the South Carolina IMCA state championship and were trailing first place by a handful. So with some luck and a good run we could be eyeing our first state championship.

Recap from Talladaga 9/6

After wrapping up in Illinois we made the quick turn around and sped down to Alabama for the 360 race.
We made it in late Saturday night and met up with my Amazing girlfriend Marisa. Who had made the 6.5 hour drive down with the truck and trailer so we could race on Sunday!

This was the first time we’ve gotten to visit the high banked 1/3 mile and we really liked the track layout.

The track was very fast for hot-laps and we had to make some adjustments to try and become a little more multi lane race-able.

We drew 7th for the first heat race and quickly jumped up to 4th.
After a couple laps we got 3rd set up and threw the slider. Which was successful, but ended in a full 4 wheel slide through the slick and unfortunately (to the best of my knowledge) the first solo spin out of the season. And hopefully the last.

We then restarted in 8th and after making the best of what we could finished in 5th I believe.

Given we had gotten some decent passing points, this started us in 7th for the main.

After watching and learning from the second heat and the dash we had a decent idea what the main could look like. And we set up free to run the cushion as much as possible.
Unfortunately through the race this proved to not be as easy as possible and around mid way the track had started to develop a rubber lane. After falling back a few positions we had settled into running the rubber and catching back up to our position cars. While also catching the tail of the field.

On lap 27 of 30 coming through 3 and 4, we made contact trying to get around a lap car, and knocked the front axle loose. Which put an end to the evening.

Not sure where we finished ultimately but I’m positive it was near last.
But!
We will continue to keep our head up and jump back into action for our next outing!
We plan to make our return to asphalt with the pavement Silvercrown finale at Toledo speedway October 3rd.

A huge thanks to all of our partners and a special shoutout again to the most critical part of our team this weekend, and my rock, Marisa Rivera. Without her soloing the rig for the first time and making it down in record speed, we wouldn’t have had a car to race! Along with pushing me around all night with the quad and being the all time best camera woman!

We’ll be making the 14 hour run out to the Du Quoin fair grounds to assist Malcom Lovelace and the 81 Silvercrown team with Dad at the wheel.
And Sunday we’ll be turning and burning to get to the Talladaga Short Track with USCS Racing to run the 360!

Race plans for this weekend!
With some time until our next 305 show and Silvercrown race, we’ve decided to shove the 360 back in and make the bonzai trip to Florida!

Catch us this Friday night on at Volusia Speedway Park for the top gun classic! And if you can’t make it to the track, find us on DirtVision streaming! Hopefully the weather holds and we can put up some good 360 results this year as well.

Recap from Iowa Speedway 8/8

First and foremost, I have got to say how incredibly blessed our team was to have the opportunity to compete at this amazing facility. This is by far the pinnacle of my personal career and I cannot be more grateful to the amazing people that made this trip possible.

Before the rundown, here are some of the people that deserve a major shoutout and cannot be thanked enough:
The man that’s made this dream a reality, Malcom Lovelace, who’s put us in the position with equipment to compete.
My girlfriend Marisa, for being behind me the entire weekend, to film and support me, and to always be ready to jump in and get her hands dirty.
My brother Owen for making the trip and being my eyes on the spotters stand.
My cousin Evan for being my hands in the pits and keeping up on car duty’s.
JR Kercher, for driving out to support our engine program and assist in race duty’s.
My parents, for driving the rig 2000 miles round trip to allow my girlfriend and I to work and fly out.
My dad again for being my crew chief, tire man, setup pro, and driver coach all in one. And to keep me pointed forward and moving in the right direction.
And my Aunt and Cousin, Nick and Bonnie for making the long treck out to support us as well!

Back to the Race day recap!

After landing in Des Moines, Iowa at 11:55 Friday night we met up with the family and jumped in the rig. We then started on our 45 minute drive to Iowa Speedway so we could get staged up a few hours later.
We slept a couple hours and got in line at 5:30 Saturday morning for load in. After crossing under the track and getting setup we attended the drivers meeting and get all our equipment ready to head to the track for practice. Around 8:30 we had our first practice session and this was by far the fastest I have ever been on track. At speeds over 160 down the straight aways.

After practice we had our qualifying session and we went 15th quick.

Then a short 12 hours of nascar action for the rest of the day, we pulled out onto the front straight away to line up for the USAC feature.

We lined up in 15th and took the green flag.
Made one pass for 14th and then reverted back to 15th after racing for a lap or two.
Then settled into a 37 lap stretch of some of the fasted racing and highest G forces I could have imagined. Unfortunately this is where the story gets sad.

Approaching lap 40 the engine temperature had begun to climb and we hit out threshold to pull off. So I pulled in and we determined it would be best to park the car, and save equipment.
Which wasn’t the same level of disappointment I’m sure the leader felt when he did the same. But this certainly left us dissatisfied.
I believe we had only gotten better through the time we had gotten to run and I feel the best was certainly yet to come. But sometimes that’s the way it all shakes out.

We know what needs to be done and what it takes to be competitive at this high level. So back to the Drawing board!

We will return one more time this year with the Silvercrown car at Toledo speedway in Ohio October 3rd.

We are so thankful for Iowa Speedway having us and putting on an amazing show. Hopefully we will have a chance to come back and find some redemption!
And we as always are thankful for all of our amazing partners that made the trip with us!
