Race plans for this weekend!
With some time until our next 305 show and Silvercrown race, we’ve decided to shove the 360 back in and make the bonzai trip to Florida!

Catch us this Friday night on at Volusia Speedway Park for the top gun classic! And if you can’t make it to the track, find us on DirtVision streaming! Hopefully the weather holds and we can put up some good 360 results this year as well.

Recap from Iowa Speedway 8/8

First and foremost, I have got to say how incredibly blessed our team was to have the opportunity to compete at this amazing facility. This is by far the pinnacle of my personal career and I cannot be more grateful to the amazing people that made this trip possible.

Before the rundown, here are some of the people that deserve a major shoutout and cannot be thanked enough:
The man that’s made this dream a reality, Malcom Lovelace, who’s put us in the position with equipment to compete.
My girlfriend Marisa, for being behind me the entire weekend, to film and support me, and to always be ready to jump in and get her hands dirty.
My brother Owen for making the trip and being my eyes on the spotters stand.
My cousin Evan for being my hands in the pits and keeping up on car duty’s.
JR Kercher, for driving out to support our engine program and assist in race duty’s.
My parents, for driving the rig 2000 miles round trip to allow my girlfriend and I to work and fly out.
My dad again for being my crew chief, tire man, setup pro, and driver coach all in one. And to keep me pointed forward and moving in the right direction.
And my Aunt and Cousin, Nick and Bonnie for making the long treck out to support us as well!

Back to the Race day recap!

After landing in Des Moines, Iowa at 11:55 Friday night we met up with the family and jumped in the rig. We then started on our 45 minute drive to Iowa Speedway so we could get staged up a few hours later.
We slept a couple hours and got in line at 5:30 Saturday morning for load in. After crossing under the track and getting setup we attended the drivers meeting and get all our equipment ready to head to the track for practice. Around 8:30 we had our first practice session and this was by far the fastest I have ever been on track. At speeds over 160 down the straight aways.

After practice we had our qualifying session and we went 15th quick.

Then a short 12 hours of nascar action for the rest of the day, we pulled out onto the front straight away to line up for the USAC feature.

We lined up in 15th and took the green flag.
Made one pass for 14th and then reverted back to 15th after racing for a lap or two.
Then settled into a 37 lap stretch of some of the fasted racing and highest G forces I could have imagined. Unfortunately this is where the story gets sad.

Approaching lap 40 the engine temperature had begun to climb and we hit out threshold to pull off. So I pulled in and we determined it would be best to park the car, and save equipment.
Which wasn’t the same level of disappointment I’m sure the leader felt when he did the same. But this certainly left us dissatisfied.
I believe we had only gotten better through the time we had gotten to run and I feel the best was certainly yet to come. But sometimes that’s the way it all shakes out.

We know what needs to be done and what it takes to be competitive at this high level. So back to the Drawing board!

We will return one more time this year with the Silvercrown car at Toledo speedway in Ohio October 3rd.

We are so thankful for Iowa Speedway having us and putting on an amazing show. Hopefully we will have a chance to come back and find some redemption!
And we as always are thankful for all of our amazing partners that made the trip with us!

Tomorrow is the big day!
Join us as we take on the NASCAR weekend at Iowa Speedway. We will be running our 100 lap Silvercrown race after the NASCAR O'REILLY AUTO PARTS SERIES and will be broadcasted on FloRacing around 8:50 pm.

This is the pinnacle of our 2026 season and we’re super thankful for all of our amazing partners that have allowed us to make this journey. As we make our way to the corn belt to clash against the best of the best. We want to remember all of those who have gotten us to this point, and we want to say a huge THANK YOU!

We hope for a great and safe run and will have a recap ready alittle faster this week!

Here’s the clip of the last lap coming to the wreck at Wythe. I hate it for all parties involved and we all had good intentions. The tower was very fast to call the red but unfortunately we were all carrying a lot of momentum. I hate to see cars get hurt. But we’re all apart of a good group of fellas and we’ll get everything straightened out and back on track.

Recap of wythe speedway 8/1

Back at the mountain half mile!

After battling a fueling issue in hotlaps, we made the necessary corrections and started 3rd for the heat race.

Lit off the start well and took second. Then battled with 3rd before eventually losing the position.
Ultimately we were coming to the checkered in 3rd. But unfortunately, in the last corner, trying to get 3/4 figured out better we got too tight on the top and pushed up the track. Allowing another car by. Finishing in 4th. Thankful we didn’t get into the wall but unfortunately not making the redraw.

We Started 7th in the main.
Took the green and after the cars filed out we started trying to make some speed consistently. And we had made progress passing 1 and working toward another. When another competitor did what I did in the heat and pushed up into the wall. Which caused a flip and a red to come out. Unfortunately at the same time my good buddy Ben Mccall with myself in tow came screaming into the corner.
With few options, and trying everything we could to get slowed down and stopped, we got together and ended our nights as well.

I guess with such a string of success lately that we were bound to hit some adversity.
The incident thankfully didn’t hurt the frame from what we can tell so far. But it did wipe out the front shocks, front wing, axle, all front radius rods and hurt the top wing. Never the less we have all of these things in stock and will make the repairs needed to get back to the races soon!

But we will now be shifting our focus back to the Silvercrown car as this next weekend we head to the Midwest to run at Iowa Raceway for the nascar weekend!

LATE recap of Wi******er speedway 7/18!

Sorry for the hold up everyone! We immediately came back and worked through the week to start turning equipment around and made the bonzai trip to the beach to see some friends.
Now we’re rested and ready to get back after it hard this week in prep for some upcoming dirt track action.

But first, the long awaited breakdown of the UNCONTESTED WORLDS FASTEST HALF MILE.

This was by far the fastest feeling and racing track we as a team have ever been too. Only comparable to some of the dirt half miles we’ve visited. But with no wing, and the power of a Silvercrown car. It’s definitely a different kind of fast.

We practiced well and definitely got ahold of this surface better than we did at IRP a few weeks ago. The banking loaded up the car and you could definitely role speed through the corners much better.
We picked up a lot of time after the test day and the practices early on race day but we still landed around 1 second behind the top guys.
We put our last new couple tires on the rear
and qualified at a 16.4. This landed us starting 12th for the feature.

We took the green and remained consistent. Loose through the middle, and a-little tricky to nail the exit of the corners consistently. But throughout the race we definitely picked up speed, and with some competitors failing to make it the distance. Paired with a pass around mid way, we took our last restart in 8th and still on the lead lap.
And held that until around lap 91-92 before eventually forfeiting the top line out of respect for the front few cars racing for the top positions.
So ultimately we finished 8th in our first Rich Voglar classic at Wi******er. And we cannot wait for the next opportunity to return to the high banks.

We were also surprised by many family member’s that had made the trek out to visit and assist in the race operation and we can’t be more thankful for everyone. Along with a big shout out to the Butler family for their assistance on race day duties.

Also it goes without saying that this is a major opportunity for a developing team and driver to have a chance to get on the big stage. And this could never be achieved without the generosity of the Lovelace family and our amazing sponsors.
As we continue to get this car and discipline figured out, we hope to represent all party’s involved with respect and with as many positive results as possible!

We will gear up for some more intense speed this upcoming weekend at Wythe raceway VA on the big half mile with The Carolina Sprint Tour on August 1st

And then we’ll be turning our complete focus to our biggest show of the year.
Iowa Speedway for our third USAC Silvercrown start during the nascar weekend of August 8th.

We can’t wait for the next few weekends and we hope to see everyone there!

Recap of Sumter speedway SC 7/11:

After 4 years of running wing 305s, we have finally parked the Tyler Family 75 in victory lane in our local and home series, the Carolina Sprint Tour.
And this one is incredibly special. Being this was the place it all started…

- October 22 2021, the day my family and I went to Fayetteville speedway to watch the season finally of the Carolina sprint tour.

-October 23 2021, the next day we went to check out a local car being sold complete and ended up buying it to start the long process of getting ready for the following season.

-February 12 2022, I turned my first laps in a sprint car, and really any kind of a race car up to that point. As a 21 year old coming fresh into the sport he’s lived in his entire life.

-April 23 2022, we unload into the pits at Sumter speedway for my very first Organized race with the Carolina sprint tour where by miraculous luck, we somehow squeaked out a 5th place finish and lit a fire that has yet to do anything but spread out of control! (Picture below of our first race and car. yellow with a white wing)

This has lead us to this past weekend:

After coming off a couple weeks of pavement we decided to run off Friday night to Carolina speedway and support the USCS 360s. Where we had the chance to used some quality track time to try out some different suspension concepts we had been tossing around for a while.
This resulted in finding some very good feeling in the car and both it, and myself were responding very well to changes.

We pulled in after running a couple laps in the main to keep the equipment fresh for our 305 race the next night at Sumter speedway.

We then jumped up the next morning and headed down highway 601 to the “toughest lil dirt track in the south”.
We then unloaded to a rain storm that soaked the facility and started us off to a very juiced up and wet surface.

We ripped around well in hot laps and felt like with a few changes to our revised suspension setup we could be very competitive.

For the Heat race we started in 4th and the top 3 get into the re-draw for the main so we needed to make up some ground. We took the green and maintained 4th. After a yellow and gaining a position we restarted in 3rd and made a bad lane choice going into 1 which allowed a competitor to gain the better line going into 3 and squashing our chances for a redraw spot.
After finishing in 4th we definitely had learned a lesson about what to expect getting into the corners on the wet surface we had for the evening.
By a stroke of luck we had learned that the 3rd place finisher was a new driver to the series and did not qualify for the redraw being this was his first race with our group, per IMCA rules.

We then watched as 5 other drivers pulled 2-6 pulls out of a bag leaving only the pole spot left for the ol blue and yellow 75.
So with a hope, a prayer, and a Brand New AmericanRacer left rear tire. We set out with confidence to lead the pack to green.

We came around under good speed and lit out well on the start, taking the lead going into turn 1.
With a battle down the backstretch the second position car made a move to the bottom for a pass but with superior momentum in the top groove we maintained the lead coming out of 4.
After that it was just about consistency.

Somewhere around the halfway point, the Right side wing mount ripped out of the front wing and laid down the center foil flat/ crooked to the car. Which made for a very tight race car getting into the corners. We adjusted the driving style to compensate and moved around and with lap traffic until the checkered flag fell.

We had won.

1,562 days after our first sprint car start, we finally parked it in victory lane with the Carolina Sprint Tour.
And there are no words to describe the feeling.

I know I say it a lot, but it can’t be said enough.
We are eternally grateful to everyone that’s led us to this point. Current sponsors, past sponsors, friends, family, and everyone in the middle. My amazing girlfriend Marisa, my mom and dad and all those in our corner.
Because of the generosity and support of so many, we have made leaps and bounds forward. So much so that even with the rising quality of our local series we’ve pushed past and shown what we can do when all the stars align. And we hope to continue forward and not let off the gas!

This has definitely been one of my longest recaps, but with all the major things our team has had going in recent times I just wanted to allow this to stand out as one of our biggest milestones.

Thanks to everyone involved and we can’t wait to get back at it next Sunday with our second race with the USAC silver crown car at Wi******er Indiana. It will be live on flo for anyone that can’t make it!
