A long-time Evans Tuning customer recently broke some records with his stock motor S2000. Aside from the fact that this is a stock F22C engine, the more impressive thing is that it's running on the stock ecu using a Hondata Flashpro. There's no traction control, and he's using a basic 3-port boost solenoid.

Keeping it simple definitely pays off sometimes.

Datsun Z with built 440 cubic inch LS7 engine, 11.5:1 comp, huge Texas speed cam, MSD intake, 3.5” cold air intake, long tubes/dual 3” exhausts, 50 lb injectors, custom fuel system, and much more. Tuned with HP Tuners on 93 octane produced 670 whp / 628 tq.

Drag S2000 in for a tune this past week with a 10.5:1 comp built AP2 engine, stock cams/intake manifold, custom turbo kit using BW s369 turbo with 1.00 a/r housing, dual 450 lph pumps, upgraded lines/regulator/ID2600ccs, twin disc clutch, 370z trans, 8.8 rear, and tons more supporting mods. Tuned with AEM Series 2 on e76-78 ethanol content at 41 psi produced 1002 whp / 705 tq.

Drag AP2 S2000 going for the stock block 1/4 mile record in for some tuning. Stock AP2 engine with just arp head studs, custom turbo kit using 6466 turbo, ID 2600 cc injectors, dual 450 LPH pumps, 3” turbo back exhaust, 350z trans, 8.8 rear, twin disc clutch, and tons more supporting mods. Tuned with Hondata Flashpro on race blended e85 at 33-34 psi produced 950 whp / 687 tq. Pretty impressive for a stock Honda engine!

Track FD RX7 in for tuning this past week with a street port 13b, full race manifold, GT35r, twin gates, custom IC / piping, ID1050x primary injectors, ID 2200cc secondary injectors, upgraded fuel system, IG1 coils, and many more mods. Tuned with Haltech Elite on 93 octane at 20 psi produced 430 whp / 340tq. Fuel pressure comp, gear/rpm/trim pot based boost control, knock control, closed loop lambda feedback, over heating protection (oil and coolant based), and oil pressure fail safe were configured.

Track Evo 8 MR with mild cams, equal length manifold, FP Green turbo, 3” turbo back exhaust, ETS intercooler/piping, FIC 1000cc, drop in fuel pump, Omni 4 bar map sensor, and 3 port EBCS. Tuned on 93 octane at 26 psi with Tephra v7 rom produced 440 whp / 352 tq.

Drift s13 with built KA24de using BC 264 cams, forged pistons/rods, custom turbo kit using GT35r, 3” turbo back exhaust, 850cc injectors, upgraded fuel pump, k20 coil conversion, and more supporting mods. Tuned with Haltech Elite 750 on 93 octane at 20 psi produced 430 whp / 400 tq.

1950s steel body Ford pick up with a 6 spd Coyote engine swap in today for a quick tune. Swap was fitted with JLT intake, Ford Racing TB, Cobra Jet Intake manifold, BBK headers, custom 3” dual exhaust. Tuned with HP Tuners on 94 octane produced 460 whp / 389 tq.

Drag AP2 s2000 with custom turbo kit, 6062 turbo, 3” exhaust, ID2000cc, dual 340 LPH pumps, 3 port EBCS, flex fuel sensor, and many more supporting mods. Tuned with AEM series 2 using flex fuel feature on e80 at 27-27 psi produced 703 whp / 486 tq. Per cylinder knock control, lean protection, over heating protection, fuel pressure and oil pressure protection were dialed in to keep the engine safe.

Drag EG civic with built k20/k24 all motor. Built using DC ported head, DC 3.2 cams, 12.5:1 comp pistons / lightweight rods, 4 piston ported skunk2 manifold, 90mm TB, 3.5” cold air intake, race header, 3” exhaust, ID 1000cc, drop in fuel pump, and flex fuel sensor. Tuned with Hondata Kpro on 93 octane produced 306 whp / 202 tq, on flex fuel at e60 produced 311 whp / 203 tq.
