There comes a moment in every restoration when it stops looking like a collection of parts and starts feeling like a car again.

For our 1966 912, that moment arrived in Porsche Olive Green.

Fresh from paint, the shell now carries a depth and richness that only makes you stop and stare. Every curve, every crease, every panel catches the light differently. It’s a reminder that great colors don’t just cover metal. They reveal it.

There’s still a long road ahead. Hundreds of hours of assembly, engineering, and craftsmanship remain before this 912 turns its first wheel. But today marks one of those rare milestones worth pausing for.

Sometimes the most beautiful stage of a restoration is before the first piece of trim is fitted, before the glass, before the engine. Just a perfectly finished body, waiting for the next chapter.

Some cars have a way of slowing you down.

Caramel has always been one of those cars. Maybe it’s the rare color, maybe it’s the simplicity, or maybe it’s knowing the story behind it. Every detail was carefully brought back to life, not to make it something it never was, but to preserve everything that made it special in the first place.

It’s a reminder that the best cars aren’t always the loudest or the fastest. They’re the ones that make you stop, look a little longer, and appreciate the craftsmanship, history, and character that only time can create.

Turning our clients’ dreams into reality is what drives everything we do.

When entrusted us with his vision, we knew it deserved nothing less than our absolute best. What followed was an incredibly extensive transformation, requiring countless hours of craftsmanship, precision, and problem solving to ensure every detail reflected the vision we set out to create.

Watching him take delivery of his Gulf commission at the Season Opener was a special moment for everyone at RKT Motorsports.
