Allan Vigil began his automotive career with Ford Motor Company following his graduation from the University of Florida and military service. As a first lieutenant in the Army from 1967 to 1970, he served in Vietnam and was awarded a Bronze Star and an Army Commendation Medal for his actions. In 1971 he took a position with Ford as a field manager, and after several years he moved to the retail side of the business. He worked at a dealership first in Jonesboro and later in Macon; he was eventually asked to return to Jonesboro as a partner and rescue what was then a failing business. Several years later Mr. Vigil was offered the opportunity to buy out the owners and he did. To this day, Mr. Vigil is still President and owner, and is very much present and active in the day-to-day operations. AWARDS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Over the years, Allan Vigil Ford Lincoln has been humbled to accept a number of prestigious awards, being a multiple recipient of Ford Motor Company's One Hundred Club, Ford's highest honor the President's Award, and Partners in Quality. Allan Vigil Ford's prestigious standing was recognized multiple times with Ford Motor Company's Triple Crown Award, which was given to only 17 of approximately 4,000 Ford dealers in the country. Allan Vigil has also received the Hispanic Business Inc. Entrepreneur of the Year Award in retail and finance, and the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has named Mr. Vigil the businessman of the year. Mr. Vigil was also a recipient of the Electric Transportation Coalition's National and Local EV Hero Awards, the University of Florida Business School Distinguished Alumni Entrepreneur of the Year award, Pillars of the Community award, Ford Motor Company's Salute to Dealers Award, Georgia University System Regents Hall of Fame award, an Honorary Doctorate of Public Service from Clayton State University and more. In addition to his professional awards and recognitions, Mr. Vigil stands out as a community-minded entrepreneur involved in a wide array of civic activities and has previously or currently is a board member or chairman for numerous organizations.
