If you noticed we've been super quiet for a while now, it's because we officially made the jump to move AMP to Morganton, NC, back in February. Over the last several months, we've been deep in the process of setting up for a big and bright future with additional business partners and a much better facility. At this time, we also would like to acknowledge that our longest owner is in the process of losing his dead to a freak accident resulting in brain damage behind reparation. While half of our team is able to continue on with getting our machine shop at full operational status, TJ and Kat will be in Ohio handling the impending death of TJ's dad and ask for your understanding and patience during this extremely difficult time. Tim was full of life, laughter, and the most love so this is an incomprehensible loss felt by family, friends, and all who know him. We will be in contact with updates for active customers as much as we can during this time. Thank you and we look forward to returning to fully operational as soon as possible!

We've been quiet for a little while now with some big dreams and plans in the works! Surprise!!! We are officially opening a satellite location in Morganton, NC. While it will take a little time to get set up, soon you'll be able to get cylinder head and resurfacing work done through this location. Stay tuned for progress reports as we gear up for our biggest year ever!

This week, we've had the pleasure to be able to go by Missionary Ridge Baptist Church in Morganton to get supplies to bring up to Leicester! On Tuesday, we took our utility trailer loaded down with water/disaster relief food boxes while the youth pastor followed us to bring all sorts of donations to the community center by the shop. And, today, we got to bring up an assortment of supplies to hand out to those we knew could use it! If you need anything, please reach out so we can help you. If you know of a place in WNC that needs supplies, please put us in contact with them! And be on the lookout for our "Appalachian Strong" shirt fundraiser dropping soon!

Now that some immediate relief has been able to find it's way into most small communities and cities, the recovery and rebuilding processes can truly begin. Very hard hit small towns and mountainous hollers are going to need support both in monetary and supply donations for months and months to come. Winter will be here before we know it and many people across WNC and eastern TN will be without proper housing now. We want to encourage every person who has the ability to help out our great communities that fiercely need it!

Some great organizations doing work on the ground include and all have ways to donate funds and supplies to them.

Some great supplies to donate are sensitive/hypoallergenic baby formula, warm infant and children clothes, warm adult clothes, heavy duty blankets, sleeping bags, tents, lanterns, matches, flashlights, batteries, warm socks, warm boots, heavy coats, propane camping grills, propane bottles, toiletries, and all your usual items (wipes, diapers, formula, water, food, towels, etc).

This region was inundated with a huge pet and animal population that also needs our help! You can find any county shelter through a simple search, with Yancy, Avery, Transylvania, Watauga, Madison, Buncombe, Henderson, and Haywood in NC needing help. In TN, Unicoi, Greene, and Washington need support. Other local rescues need help as well!

Lastly, since the shop has very minimal damage, we do not mind accepting donations from those who would like to do so. We would drop them off in places like Swannanoa, Old Fort, Black Mountain, and Sandy Mush areas. Let's continue to do what we can to help these beautiful mountains and the people who call them home!

Hey there, everyone!
We would like to start off by saying that the shop survived with no flooding or major damage, and that everyone is safe. The ownership team hasn't been able to make it up to the shop yet, but we are making plans to do so later in the week. Since we live down the mountain from Leicester, there hasn't been a viable path up until earlier today. At the moment, the shop should have power again, we don't at our house and likely won't for a little longer. The plan moving forward is to get up the mountain to assess our options for getting back to a regular schedule and update as we do so. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, we are working on getting back to each of you now that we have cell service again. We look forward to helping rebuild our community and get back to doing what we love!

Connecting rod bearing oil clearance is important! To get perfect clearances, we grind rods (like shown) and then hone them back to round.
