Dudley's Driving Academy

Dudley's Driving Academy Driver education for teens and adults. Serving the Mad River Valley, Waterbury, and Barre-Montpelier

Dudley’s Driving Academy is a DMV licensed school offering driver education for teens and adults. The course follows the Vermont Driver Risk Prevention Curriculum. The teen course consists of 30 hours in-class and 6 hours behind-the-wheel as well as 6 hours of observation. The course focuses on good habit formation and judgment along with car control skills. Paul Dudley is a passionate motorsports

enthusiast with a strong belief in traffic safety. Paul founded Dudley’s Driving Academy in December 2012 as a way of passing on skills, knowledge, situational awareness, and enthusiasm for the road. He has participated in sanctioned motorsports events all across New England and New York over the past decade and has an important message to pass on to his students: the open roads are no place for speed and racing...that’s what racetracks are for. He volunteers as a driver for the Mad River Valley Ambulance Service. “Not only do safety belts save lives, but lack of safety belts steals lives. Don’t turn yourself into a victim.”
He carries a degree in Automotive Technology from Vermont Technical College. His students will learn basics of how to maintain their vehicle safely and what to do if a problem is found.

Well this is neat. Vermont Public (Radio) did a story about happiness in Vermont for their segment “Brave Little State”, and a few people nominated me as the happiest Vermonter they know. Quite touching to be interviewed about something as basic & elusive as happiness.
Smiles are contagious and laughter is funny! Enjoy…

Are Vermonters happy? It’s a big question. And certainly not one with a "yes" or "no" answer. Happiness looks different depending on who you ask. So we asked five Vermonters what happiness looks like to them.

"Winter doesn't care how little driving experience you have"

Vermont winters are long, and knowing how to drive in them is imperative. So it’s important for young drivers to get experience navigating snowy roads.
