From Ted Garner and Tony Seamon founding the Sanitary on the waterfront 88 years ago to Dick Parker starting our dealership 80 years back, "thank you for being a friend" takes on a whole new meaning when two local institutions grow up in the same coastal hometown.

Introducing From the Parker Archives Friday! 📸

As Parker Auto Group approaches 80 years in business, we’re opening the archives and sharing a piece of our dealership history every Friday.

We’re starting in the early days, one of our first dealerships in downtown Morehead City, at the site of today’s Port 32 Portside Marina. These black and white photos show the dealership, its lot, and the wrecker that once went to work for our customers. These images would have been taken in the early 1950's.
