Every part that leaves our warehouse or car that leaves our project shop is an example of how completely and totally devoted we are to chasing our ideals. Our teams spend thousands of hours on developing and testing components that we manufacture right here in America and ship straight to your door. Detroit Speed puts a significant amount of effort into developing long-lasting, dependable products

that are formulated to exceed late-model performance expectations. Our systems are designed by exceptionally qualified engineers and built by fabricators dedicated to making the best systems they possibly can. Our parts are made using state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies–CNC machining, forging, hydroforming, and more–to bring your classic muscle car to the 21st century. Months of testing, revising, and polishing stand behind every product we make available to the public, and our test cars prove the point. Each of our development mules receive thousands of hard miles attending car shows, completing road trips, crushing autocross paddocks, and storming track days in the process. The pursuit of perfection has always been our primary goal, and it always will be. Because of this, we can confidently say our systems are the best, most comprehensive solutions to any and all your muscle car problems.

Classic platforms meet modern technology. Let’s see how the two are coming together this week.

This week showed positive progress in multiple areas of Brian's 70 . Cody got the transmission tunnel finished up and has begun bending the stainless brake lines utilizing materials from Inline Tube. Jason also helped us to prepare for the new exhaust openings by 3D scanning the rear end of the car.

On the other side of the shop, Hoff has mocked up the upgraded brushless fan and shroud setup on Mo's , and parts have begun to arrive for the 8HP90 swap, including the new transmission controller and billet adapter kit for the LS. Thank you to Turbo Lamik for offering all the products we needed from one place!

The camera stops here, but the development doesn’t. Check back next Friday for more updates from the Project Shop.

No cargo. Just corner speed. 🔥
Brandy Phillips’ 1972 PCHRODS, Inc. traded work-truck duty for late braking, quick transitions, and plenty of time at wide-open throttle. A X-Gen 595 Front Suspension helps keep the front end composed when the course gets technical.

The Project Shop is looking a little more Mopar than usual 👀

This week we started mocking up the drivetrain in Brian's 70 . The mock up 426 Hemi and T56 Magnum transmission were a huge help in test fitting the new motor mounts and transmission crossmember. From here, we will continue the fab work on our custom transmission tunnel.

While the rear wheel houses are being finished up, we have begun to lay out the cooling system in Blake's 69 . Clearance is tight between the electric fans and the Billet Specialties, Inc. front accessory drive, but we will have just enough room to build a proper fan shroud for the application.

And lastly, the fitment work continues on the rear Quadralink being installed in a 69 . All components are welded into place, and we are ready to begin on the torque boxes and subframe connectors.

More Mopar muscle is on the way as these builds continue taking shape.
